Hi....

Check on the speaker connections. Make sure theyre firm at both ends. Do you have another set of speakers you can try on it? If so,try that too.
The chatter is the speaker protection relay.

Let me know...Thanks

Why wont my transfer switch change back to utilities position when the power is restored?

It depends on the brand of switch and generator. A Generac has its brains in the generator control board, others in the switch, what brand of switch please?

Can i hook this amp to my home sound system

Technically, yes, but there are some challenges. First, the input voltage to the amp is 12VDC, not 120VAC. You would need to find a power supply large enough to supply 12VDC at 30-40 amps (plus has proper currently limiting or fuses to protect against overloading). Second, most home speakers are 8 ohm impedance. While the amp can power an 8 ohm speaker, the output power is cut in half (compared to a 4 ohm speaker).

LT-980/2 Car Audio Amplifier: Looking to see if I can hardwire a Power Acoustik ...

you want to use a car amplfier indoors in the house

yeah that can be done very easily
just wire it like you would inside a car but you need to purchase a 12v DC adapter
i would go for one with at least 3A output (the bigger the better it depends on how much u wanna spend) from personal expericance 1.5A works but when it gets loud the amp stops and restarts

Luxman LV 105 Amplifier gone dumb

Hi: If the Amp has an audio output transformer, check for bad solder connections to the pc board, This are the wires from the transformer to the PC board. Another place to look is the earphone connection plug. If the jack has a bent contact inside of it, you will have all sound cut off. Good Luck.

Running amp in house

its very tricky to use a car amp in house, your going to need a power converter and deck for the house, plus car audio is not made for home, the sound is going to be off cause car audio plays a differ frequencys the home sterio.
