Kenmore he3t front load washer time flashing stuck

The only answer to the first person's similar problem only mentioned how to identify error codes.  However, no error code is flashing on mine either.  Only 00:01 for one minute left in the cycle.  It won't reset.  It just flashes the time left.  Pressing the pause button unlocked the door, but that's all.  Can't set another cycle or end this one.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Take the front panel off your washer. Inside the washer attached to the side you should find a manual that will help you with the error codes.

Code in digital display does not have a E in front of it

Please let me know if you can get a number after this - if so what number shows up?

Model differences:
• Better models have a digital readout display
• Good models do not have a digital readout display
In the Better Models line, the failure codes will appear in the display as an E followed by two numbers, a number and a letter
or two letters. The control will beep and the Door Lock, Wash, Rinse, Final Spin and Control indicator lights will flash.
Example: E14. To stop the flashing and beeping, the customer may touch the Pause Cancel button. The error code remains
stored in the control but once the problem is corrected, it does not effect the operation of the washer. If the failure is something
that the customer can correct (such as the water faucets being turned off), the washer will operate normally the next time it is
started.
In the Good Models line, the control signals the failure code by flashing the five indicator lights of Door Lock, Wash, Rinse,
Final Spin and Control for the first number or letter after the E and the Start indicator light for the second number or letter
after the E. When a failure occurs, the washer stops or pauses and the control beeps and flashes the five indicator lights to tell
the customer that a failure has occurred. To stop the flashing and beeping, the customer may touch the Pause Cancel button.
The error code remains stored in the control but once the problem is corrected, it does not effect the operation of the washer.
If the failure is something that the customer can correct (such as the water faucets being turned off), the washer will operate
normally the next time it is started.
To recall an error code,
• Wake the machine by pressing any button
• Wait 5 seconds
• Press and hold the Start and Pause Cancel buttons simultaneously
• All LEDs will go blank and after a few seconds the control will signal the stored code using audible beeps and blinking
LEDs. The control will repeatedly signal the code, as long as the Start and Pause Cancel buttons are pressed.
A two-second pause between repeats affords you the ability to make accurate counts to identify the correct error codes.
Please Note the following...... on a small number of washers with serial number prefix XC4,
if the previous procedure does not perform as specified, follow the option below:
• Follow all previous steps but instead of pressing Start and Pause Cancel buttons,
press and hold Options and Pause Cancel buttons.
If the washer is a Better Model, the error code will appear in the display. Troubleshoot problem by using charts on the
following pages.
If the washer is a Good Model, the five indicator lights of Door Lock, Wash, Rinse, Final Spin and Control will flash the
number of times for the first digit of the code and the Start indicator light will flash the number of times for the second digit.
Take
separate counts of each indicator light, then repeat to confirm in order to be accurate in identifying the proper error code.
The code is obtained by counting the number of times the lights flash. Example E24: The five indicator lights would flash twice
indicating the 2 and the START indicator light will flash four times indicating the 4. The five indicator lights and the START
indicator light start flashing at the same time.
The control will pause for 2 seconds, then repeat the code as long as the two buttons are pressed and held.
Note: A letter appearing in the code stands for a number higher than nine:
A = 10 B = 11 C = 12 D = 13 E = 14 F = 15
Example Code F1: the first digit would be 15 and the second digit would be 1. If this code would appear on a washer in the
Good model line, the five indicator lights would blink fifteen times and the START indicator light would blink once.

I cannot get the washer to run completely through ANY cycle. it stops and flashes F-1 and other flashing areas. The door gets locked and clothes are trapped in the washer. How do I try and fix this problem...

F01 - There may be an internal problem with the control, attempt a Hard Reset.

Hard Reset - In some cases the control can be non-functioning or may not accept activation from the control panel. To clear and restart the control follow the these steps:

* Unplug or turn the circuit breaker off for 30 seconds.
* Reconnect the unit to the power source by turning the breaker back on or plugging the unit back into the wall outlet.
* Press the Pause/Cancel/Stop button twice to clear the "PF" in the display.
* Start a short cycle to check the operation of the machine by selecting a cycle and pressing and holding the start button until the machine starts.

The F01 generally indicates a failed electronic machine control board.
This error code can sometimes be caused by a glitch or power surge through the electrical lines.
You may be able to clear this code by unplugging the washer for 5 minutes.
If the code returns after plugging the washer back in, then the electronic machine control board will need to be replaced.

The procedure for accessing and replacing this control board is shown in this image...

http://media.fotki.com/1_p,wkwdftgtbkdgfrwxgtqsskgwtqkq,vi/ksrttqdqrxkssrqtgsd/1/1303472/5961857/image12917img-or.jpg

Be sure to unplug the washer before accessing internal components.
When you access the control board, I recommend transferring the wires from the old control board to the new replacement control board one connection at a time.
Once you have all of the wires transferred, remove the old control board and mount the new control board in the washer.
Reassemble and test the washer.

The "F01" error code indicates a communication error between the Central Control Unit (CCU) and the EEPROM onboard the CCU.
The "F01" can also be displayed if the onboard "Pump Driver" fails to activate.
Generally in order to correct this failure will require replacing the CCU.
There is no way to test and verify if the control board has failed.
The technical data sheet basically states to replace the CCU.

Washer stopped mid cycle

This could be a momentary program glitch. In order to reset the Central Control Unit (CCU), you need to unplug the washer for AT LEAST 30 minutes. This should reset the CCU and allow you to open the washer.

If the door remains locked and still will not open following a CCU reset, the following link explains how you can use the manual release to get the door to open:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3576511-door_jam_on_kenmore_elite_and_whirlpool_

You may want to try using a wet/dry shop vac to pull a vacuum on the drain hose to try to pull as much of the water (if any) ot of the wash tub BEFORE opening the door.

NOTE: Is your washer displaying any error codes? If so, the error codes are NOT listed in the Owner's Manual. For a complete explanation of all the error codes, each one of these appliances comes with a technical data sheet inside.

To access, you will need to remove the lower toe panel under the door. The access screws are located under the bottom front edge of the panel. You may have to prop the two front feet of the washer up for better access ( a 2x4 works well for this). With the screws removed, the panel should drop down, then come off. If the tech sheet isn't directly behind the panel, it will be affixed to one of the interior cabinet walls.

The tech sheet lists all error code definitions, troubleshooting data, diagnostics procedures and wiring diagrams. I mention the tech sheet because you may need it to accurately troubleshoot this problem.

My washer door is locked. cant open

If the door remains locked and you cannot open it, this could be a momentary program glitch. You can attempt to reset the Central Control Unit (CCU) by unplugging the washer for AT LEAST 30 minutes. If the door still remains locked following a CCU reset, there is a manual release you can use to open the door. The following link explains how to access the release:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3576511-door_jam_on_kenmore_elite_and_whirlpool_

In many cases, operating the manual release will return the door latch to normal operation. If you still experience problems, or have any indications of error codes on the front panel display, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you.

Error message on my kenmore elite smart washer

"F11" is a Serial Communications error between the Central Control UNit (CCU), Motor Control Unit (MCU), Drive Motor and/or interconnecting wiring.

"Fdl" is either a door latch error, communicaiton problem with the CCU, or the interconnecting wiring.

The following two links explain these error codes:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3608695-f11_error_code

http://www.fixya.com/support/r4490349-fdl_error_code

You can attempt to unplug the washer for at least 30 minutes in an attempt to reset the CCU. Sometimes these error codes can be momentary glitches in the operating program. If the error codes reappear following a CCU reset, then you have a legitimate problem.

The common factor between these two error codes is that it involves the CCU. There's a good chance the problem is with the CCU.

Replacement parts (if required) can be purchased at any of the following websites:

searspartrsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

Prices vary between sites, so shop and compare. the first three sites listed also have helpful exploded view parts illustrations to assist you with locating and properly identifying the parts you may need. The Sears website will often carry a refurbished CCU at a lower cost than purchasing a brand new one. The part number will be listed with the letter "R" at the end if available.

If the door remains locked and you need to access, there is a manual release you can use to open the door. The following link epxlains how:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3576511-door_jam_on_kenmore_elite_and_whirlpool_

NOTE: The error codes are NOT listed in the Owner's Manual. For an explanation of all the error codes, each one of these washers comes with a technical data sheet inside.
