Clayton, a small crack say 2-3 inches may be fixable by glass shops injecting a filler. If about 6 inches, replace the windshield because it will get larger and unsafe. Yes it will cost you insurance deductible but that's life. My windshield was cracked 6 inches by a golf ball, can you imagine? Had to change.

As stated above replace the windshield if it is a larger crack, smaller ones may be fixed with an epoxy windshield kit from Ebay. A windshield is made up of two pieces of glass with a clear plastic sheet in between. Be careful cleaning or bumping the inside of the windshield as this will cause the crack to spread further.

try changing the wiper relay first and check out the fuses if all is good then the motor itself may have seized or the worm drive may be worn or broken check the toothed spline where the wiper blade attaches the splines may be smooth or broken which will stop the blades moving back and forth

just a suggestion: remove the wiper transmission from the motor. turn the motor on, then off so it returns to the park positon and re-connect the trans to it, with the trans in the park position as well. then try it. (make sure the motor is properly grounded.)

Does the wiper still make noise like it is trying to go? If so open the cap where is attached and tighten the nut on the wiper. If does not make noise you will need a wiper motor.

hi you have a short your favourite place to look is the wipers relay they are more likley to short than the switch and there cheaper if no joy remove your steering wheel cowls so you can get at the switch find out which wire feeds the relay to turn the wipers on see if its permenantly live when you turn the switch off if so replace switch if the switch works as it should and the relays ok then the motors faulty yates210456
