Restart the PC, HOLD the keys f2 or esc +CTRL and enter to the BIOS setup, go to TAB for restore the factory default, and try it.
However you must use the software diagnostic coming the computer or download from www. dell.com
God bless you

My desktop has an orange light no beep sounds when starting it won't boot up the back where ethernet plug goes is orange too the fan makes a burning smell also

Orange light usually means the harddrive or computer is processing and loading, But it can also mean that there is a problem with the hard drive. Start your computer and wait. If you see orange light it means its working to boot up, it might take a while, you might see your screen black for a while but eventually will work.

To fix this problem you need to upgrade more hard drive space, RAM memory and processor speed

Nowadays a computer should have a minimum of 2GB of RAM memory, at least 120GB of Space, and about 2.0Ghz of processing speed.

You can also buy great refurbished computers which are cheaper. Most of them come with 4GB of RAM memory, 250GB HD Space and 2.5Ghz processing speed.

We need To Install Another Processor But The 2nd Slot Doesn't Work To new one That Work In the other slot

hi,
Welcome to Fixya
By the way have you purchased the VRM module . If you are about to upgrade the server with second processor you should have VRM also . Without VRM , the second process wouldn't work and it will light out amber LED(Orange) . Now If you have VRM then just swap the processor and check. That is check whether the second processor works while insert it in first processor slot. If it works then it relates to motherboard issue .

Thanks

When i switch my ps3 on it switches off and lashes green and orange light

There is no orange light built into the PS3 system, you may be mistaken orange for red. If it's bright it can be hard to tell the exact color.

Does the lights blink? If so, you have the infamous YLOD, aka. Yellow Light of Death. This is the number 1 cause of pS3's dying. It is an overheating issue linked to your CPU and GPU (the processor chips) You will need to find a local PS3 repair shop who can repair this. Do not try to attempt repairs seen on the internet yourself. You could make things much worse and render the unit totally unresponsive. The repair process takes about 3 hours.

It can be fixed.

IS THERE A DISC STUCK INSIDE?

If you have a unit that is not backwards compatible, any non 60g or 80g then you

can retrieve your disc.

Power off the unit using the toggle switch on the back. Hold down the 'eject'

button and turn the toggle switch back from off to on. This will run a fan test

and eject your disc. Remember, this will only work on the 20, 40g models. Not the

backwards compatible units with the 4 usb port holes and the memory card slots.

Hi I opened a work computer Dell GX260 to clean it out as a favour for my boss. I've removed the processor fan in the process. I then decided that I don't have the right equipment to properly clean it....

You confirm all the connectors are properly connected. Check the power supply connector and the power button connector. Remove the cpu fan connector and refix it properly. Ther is no other chance for failure.
