Question about Samsung VP-D20 Mini DV Digital Camcorder
I dropped camcorder about 18inches to floor. Shadow appeared in viewfinder when recording. I left it in for repair with approved repairer. He saw problem but when he opened it problem resolved itself. Pictures are recording perfectly again but it won't record sound. There was no problem recording sound before I left it in for repair. How can I get sound record facility back? Anyone?
Take it back to the repairer. A connector may have come unplugged when it was re-assembled.

MiniDV cameras have two video heads on the rotating drum, which read and write the picture in broad horizontal bands. When one head is not working, normally because it is clogged by dust/dirt/tape residue, you see broad bands of noise across the image occupying exactly half the total image area.......
