Question about Televison & Video
Power supply problem ,have no power going in
Clean the contacts batteries and replace by new ones. Resolder the wires going to the contacts batteries.and try it.
See the picture attached. THE LED must be turn ON, when you hit any key. If doesnot TURN ON, open the remote control and clean the keypads for corrosion, oxide, with contacts cleaner solvent. and try again again

I think the problem with my humax 5400z is similar to yours.
Both 5400 & 5400z have the same power supply unit.
I just solved it this evening by changing C9.
It's a 1500 μF 10V electrolytic capacitor. Be careful not to reverse the polarity my friend.
If you have problems to find the capacitor just e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I'll send you pics showing the location of that C9 capacitor on tthe psu board.
