The ignition continues after gas lights on new world elegance/cooker and grill

The igniter will glow orange while the oven is on. This is NORMAL. If it went out the burner would not come back on when the thermostat calls for heat .

I have a Webber Q Family BBQ for about 2 - 3years. I noticed say last 6 months that the burners are not working properly and the grill is not hot enough ie take 3 times longer to cook a steak etc. I read...

OK, it sounds to me that when you changed the propane tank, you may have turned the gas tank valve on too fast. Doing so causes the built-in excess flow valve to check, which only allows a trickle of gas through. Do this: Turn off the gas tank, disconnect it and drain any remaining gas from the grill by opening a valve to a burner. Close the grill valve and then reconnect the tank. Very slowly open the tank valve and try lighting a burner again and see it that solves the problem. Douglas

I have a gas oven that is a couple (4-5) years old. I hit the bake button, hit 350, hear the click or tick and that's it! That's where it ends no "whoosh" of gas or flames afterwards.

check the voltage to the gas valve in bake cycle if the 12/24 volt is there then change the gas valve if not voltage is present then check the tranformer circuit and limit switch to the gas valve

First two burners, now all burners...

You have a defective spark module. This is a device which breaks down the 120 incoming volts to a 12 volt spark to ignite the burners. Replace module and problem should be solved.

Oven burner doesnt light

Doubt that the glow plug is bad. Gas only needs about 1100 degree F. to ignite using the glow plug method. It really seems as if there may be no gas getting to the burner. If there is no flame, you should be able to smell gas. If there is no gas smell, then I would look for the obvious such as: is the gas turned on?, Does the gas valve on the unit have a safety that is tripped? and so on. A new gas valve may be in order but make sure that it is receiving the proper voltage when the glow plug is on. Lastly, there may be a safety that is malfunctioning. If the unit does not light within a given time, the safety will "Lock Out" the unit so the place doesn't fill up with gas.
Hope this helps and good luck.

How do you light a gas oven

Chances are your hot surface ignitor is bad. Take off the bottom panel inside the oven you will have to removes grills also. You will see a center beam under the panel that is where the flames of your burner are. The hot surface ignitor is right there at the start of the burners. As a test turn the oven on and notice it hot surface ignitor glows. If it didn't glow then it needs to be replaced. Easy fix only held on by two small screws 1/4 size nut runner and two wires. You will have to cut the wires as they run back into the back of the oven. The new one just take the wire nuts that come with it and attach. Don't make the wires too short as you will need the length. let me know how it goes ken

Oven & hob taking a long time to come on(on FULL pressure)

Hello mick1939. Are the ignitors the clicking/sparking type or the glow bar type?
If they are the glow bar type, when they get older they don't send enough amps to the gas safety valve thus only letting a small amount of gas to the burners. Try replacing them if they are glow bars.
