I have a TEAC HD10U5. Computer recognized it, but won't open.

I have a TEAC HD10U5 that has been working great until I moved. The computer was shut down when I unpluged it.
After setting up my PC, it is recognized, but won't open. A message appears that tell me I need to install the drive.
I'm using Vista. Can you help solve why my drive won't open? I have a lot of important documents stored there and can't access.
