G25819TK RCA tv (1991) aux jack problem

I can't figure out how to access the auxiliary jacks from any of the menus on the TV. I have used all the program modes to load an aftermarket TV control which accesses all the features except for the auxiliary input. I bought this so my son could play his DVD's so I really need to be able to use this feature.

Without looking further you may need the Factory remote not all functions may be accessable using a "Universal" Ha,Ha,Ha remote. These Universal remotes have been problems in my line of work for years,Best idea is when you get a new tv pick up a cheap basic functions remote & use it for everday normal Vol./Channel/Power et. & keep the orig.for things the universal won't do

SOURCE: can not get tv to go to aux mode to hook up a playstation2

Do you have the original remote control?. Without it you will not be able to switch to video or to the TV mode. If you do have the Original remote hand unit, look for a button call input or video. A universal will not work so please do not waist your hard earnd cash. Good Luck

SOURCE: jvc remote control

"i already paid for the tv so why pay for something that should be readely available to me in the first place I should have access to all the features on the tv ".. WRONG!!!!!!!!!You should have a warranty for this TV but it's old , anyway. First, receive a reference image (let's say CNN).Second:press "Sleep Timer" key and set the value to "0". Then press "Display" and "Video Status" keys at the same time. Third: use "Vol +/-" and " Channel +/-" to select "2.DEF(D)".Go to "D03: V.SIZE" and modify step by step the value for best fitting. There is also switch " SW401" on the main board for centering the image . Finally, press "EXIT" key till you exit the "Service Menu". Don't try to modify anything else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SOURCE: RCA f20580wn 20" TV about 20 years old

Hopefully you have the problem solved.

If not, the RCA plugs, listed as input 1 and 2 are shown on channel 91 and 92.

I recommend connecting the DVD to either input. Turn on the DVD. Then run the auto programming function of the TV. It will find and program the channel for the DVD. Then use the channel up or down on the remote you are currently using and you should find a working DVD.

Hope this helps.

Quick and dirty:

From the back of the RCA unit make sure you are using the auxiliary input jacks to connect to the output jacks on the TV.

You will need to go into the setup menu on your TV to select an external sound system and finally you'll need to select auxiliary on the RCA unit to hear the sound from your TV.

Hope this helps,

The Tinker

I can not get my RCA Blu Ray home theater to play what comes through on regular tv. It plays a dvd and will also play when using netflix from my ps3. I do not have any sort of cable box. My tv is a Sa

Gotta find an audio output from the TV and run it to aux input on the home theatre, select the aux function and it should work, if your tv has no audio out see if it has a headphone jack you can use as an audio out, can get a cable with 3.5mm headphone jack one 1 end and rCA red/white on the other, becareful when doin this as the audio output level froma headphone jack maybe controlled by the tV's volume itself. keep tV volume low and use the home theatre volume if your doing it that way

Where is the auxiliary jack?

It seems like the "aux jack" is actually referring to the RCA inputs on the front panel. To play your blackberry youd need a 1/8th inch to RCA cable

I do not know what color to use the RCA jack in

RCA Jacks are usually white & red for left and right speakers and yellow for video. If you don't have a three piece set - then they are probably just for speakers and its one for right speaker and the other for left speaker.

On the back of the tv, the RCA jacks plug into the incoming area - with the red & white going to the speakers right and left and the yellow to the video jack. Then you need to choose the input method on the tv menu set up that matches in the one you chose on the tv. Examples of input methods are AUX, Antenna One, Antenna two, ect. With the tv turned on - keep changing the choice of input until you find the one that gives you a picture.

I was just given this Hitachi T.V. and when I plugged it in I have a good picture but no sound. I have tried everything I could by reading the manuel, but no luck.

First, recheck your cables, and their configuration. Make sure whatever source you're using is properly connected to the television. If possible, check your peripheral devices by hooking them up to another TV.
If you're just connected to cable, and if you've already fiddled with all of the on screen menu settings for audio without any luck, then it's possible the TV has some mechanical defect requiring professional repair, and you should not attempt this yourself.
In the meantime, you can try hooking up a stereo to the TV's audio output jacks (use a pair red and white cables to connect the audio out jack on the TV to the auxiliary jack of a stereo). Turn both of them on, set the stereo to aux, and see if you get sound.

I just bought a Dynex DX-LCD19-09 19 inch TV. I also have a Phillips home theater system. I have digital cable and I cant figure out how to hook it up to where i can watch regular tv but hear it through...

The only audio out jack on your TV is for the headphone on the left side of the TV. You need to purchase a 3.5 mm to RCA audio cable, connect the 3.5mm jack to the left side of your TV and the 2 RCA audio cable ends to the audio in of your Home Theater and then select AUX 1 or AUX 2 on the home theater depending on which jacks you plugged into.

Jensen cd 2610 aux input has little volume

first of all the rca jacks in the back of your radio are for plugging in an amp, not your mp3 player. there should be an auxiliary jack(looks like a headphones jack) in the front of the head unit. if there is no auxiliary jack in the front then you will have to go buy a new head unit with an auxiliary jack.

I have a aiwa cx-na77, how do I connect it to a tv so that I hear the tv sound on the aiwa speakers

If it has an "AUX" input or any other type of RCA jacks for an input, you can connect the TV RCA audio jacks output to the input RCA jacks of the Aiwa.

That's what you would need.

RCA audio outputs on the TV

RCA audio input on the Aiwa

Just look at the back of each unit and see if it has them. RCA audio jacks are the small circular red and white jacks. They will be labed on each unit what they are for. You need output jacks on the TV and input jacks (but not for phono) on the Aiwa.

Wiring with a sattelite receiver and new Samsung TV

Nope RamaTheMan - you are incorrect! No way to get an actual surroundsound from your TV on this turd - this came straight from the Samsung FAQ -

"You cannot get surround sound from your television. On the other hand, if your television has audio output jacks you can connect your TV or Set Top Box to your Home Theater System and get stereo sound (that is, sound from the left and right speakers of your Home Theater System only).
To connect your TV or STB audio output jacks to your Home Theater System and get stereo sound, follow these steps:
  1. Turn off your TV and Home Theater System.
  2. Connect the Audio Out jacks on your TV to the External Audio Input jacks on the back of your Home Theater System. The External Audio Input connectors are typically labeled AUX IN. Note: There are usually two pairs of Audio Input jacks, AUX 1 and AUX 2. Each pair has a jack for the left audio input and the right audio input. Often, there are two Video AUX IN jacks as well. You can plug the audio cables into either audio AUX 1 or AUX 2. See the following diagram.
    auxin.jpg
  1. Turn on your TV and Home Theater System.
  2. Press the Function Button on the front panel of your Home Theater System until the display on your Home Theater System shows AUX 1 or AUX 2.
For advanced installation, if you are using a High Def STB, you can connect an OPTICAL connection from the STB to the HTS. This is a specified cable that must be purchased separately.
In either instance, you must then set the HTS to its auxiliary input. (i.e AUX 1, AUX 2, DIGITAL IN) in order to get the sound from the HTS.
Note: If your television does not have Audio Out jacks, you may be able to get stereo sound by attaching the Audio Out jacks on your VCR to either the AUX 1 or AUX 2 audio inputs on your Home Theater System. If you attach your VCR to AUX 1 or AUX 2, you will have to tune your television to channel 3 or 4, and then tune to the station you want to watch on your VCR."
