Pioneer vsx 1021 receiver power problem

My vsx 1021 shows a flashing red mcacc light. When's reset by pressing and holding tuner and multi zone on off buttons, it shuts off light and powers up only to shut down again about 3 seconds later. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Any suggestions to fix it?

PIONEER SC-LX56 flashing blue MCACC light

Pressing 'down arrow' + 'Multizone On/Off' button together for 2/3 seconds worked for me and powered up the amp. No factory reset was needed it just started working. It had been out of use for several weeks because of this issue.

Pioneer VSX-72TXV wont power up. mcacc light just blinks.. unit does not have a video 2 button on the face.

try holding the "TUNE -" button and the ZONE 2 on/off button and see if it turns on. If its turns on, but turns back off again, you either have a problem with your speakers (try disconnecting them) or there is a problem with the receiver that needs to be repaired.

My pioneer vsx 815 amplifier has a flashing blue standby light. Have tried resetting by pressing enter and advanced surround keys. All it does is flash a few other LEDs and then goes back to the flashing...

"enter and advanced surround keys"? I don't see that documented as a special function in the manual.

BTW: other than the Flashing light, is there a malfunction?

Page 72 describes how it REALLY resets...

Resetting the main unit

Use this procedure to reset all the receiver's settings to the factory default. Use the front

panel controls to do this.

1 Switch the receiver into standby.

2 While holding down the TONE button, press and hold the STANDBY/ON button for about three seconds.

3 When you see RESET? appear in the display, press ENTER .

OK? shows in the display.

4 Press SYSTEM SETUP to confirm.

OK appears in the display to indicate that the receiver has been reset to the factory default
settings.
