typically product registration is for first owners only, and is used for purposes of identifying the start of the warranty period. Date of purchase and place of purchase along with name, address, product model and serial number are needed. Registering a used device may be possible with some manufacturers, but has limited benefits.
Save receipt for warranty purpose.
Without receipt, the warranty is based on date of manufacture which can be several months, or 1-2-3 years before actual installation.
With reliance, first two digits of serial number are date of manufacture. Second two digits are week of the year.
Registration at following link using serial number located on label on side of tank: http://www.reliancewaterheaters.com/resources/product-registration
1. Launch ShowBiz. 2. Under the Help menu select Online Product Registration. Your web browser will launch and display the registration form. 3.
You can find your serial number in the Serial Number field of the
registration form. Or you can fill out the registration form and submit
it. You will need to be connected to the internet to submit the form
Depending on what type of product you have and manufacture, you just need to do one of the followings:
Call toll free number to register (should be on registration card0
Register online (address should be on card)
or fill out the registration card and mail it out
Find out the manufacturer or brand, model and serial number of the microwave. Google the brand name and then navigate to the manufacturer's web site. Look for something like "register product", "customer care" or "owners" and click on it. You should be prompted to supply your name, address, date of purchase, model, serial number and probably even more. Generally, you'll only have to divulge the info listed above to register - but some sites may be a little pushy for info like household income, etc. If you'd rather not supply that - skip it. If you aren't able to submit due to the site balking at missing info - then you'll have to fill out the registration card that came with the microwave (but only put down the info you're willing to provide) and mail it in. Done.
You have not given the make and model of the machine. Anyway generally you have to go to website of your machine's brand. Each site has support tab. Click on it and you will find the registration tab there. Click it and register your product .Please keep your model no, serial number and date of purchase handy which you will require to fill in during registration
Model SGH-877 registration with same problem. Definately have to call customer service at 888-987-4357. They will first register you in their system, if you are not already there previously (name, cell phone # and email address). Next she put me on hold and then came back and said, "You will need to refresh your screen" (oh goody). Next she asked me to type in the IMEI# in the Serial#s space on the screen. My Product Information then popped up on the screen and filled in the boxes (yea!) ~ including the "Model Code" needed. (It also gave me the manufactured date underneath, which was cool!) Then I just had to finish filling out the rest of the form and hit "submit".
