You can discharge the battery to 10% and then full charge it, take this circle for several times. If it can not help, maybe it is the problem of your new battery.

Further more, you can check if some app is running

I have a brand new laptop with an 8 hour battery that only last 3-4 hours. What all do I need to turn off?

Thank you for choosing FixYa!

Regarding this concern of yours with your battery, I would like you to understand that the 8hr time frame is basically the stand-by time for your computer turned ON but doing nothing. Now, if you base the battery's performance while you're using the machine, it can only run at most 4-6 hours depending on the application you are using, the resources that the application utilizes, and the running application required by the computer to run. It means that you really won't be able to max out your battery's 8hr capacity if you're using the computer on a regular basis.

The best practice though, is that you keep the battery reach at least 1% of power before charging the laptop to maintain and lengthen the battery's life.

Have a good one still. Take care!

Nokia 2700c battery low problem

If the cell phone battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out.Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles andwill lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR Thebattery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the batterydrops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to anunacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

The problem is in the charging circuits, the phone will probably need to be replaced to deal with this issue. I suggest contacting Nokia to see if they will offer up a replacement.

Nokia 7210s problem of Camera it shows below message "CAMERA ON STANDBY"

Make sure you have the latest available software for your Nokia; The software for your model should be available on Nokias website. If your software is up to date then it may be necessary to reset the phone. Try a soft reset first by pushing *7780# and entering the default code 12345. If this does not solve the problem a hard reset may be possible which will wipe all of your date off of the phone. Take the battery out of the phone and wait about ten minutes. Replace the battery cut the phone on and type *37370# this will hard reset the phone. Remember you will loose all data. hope i was able to help

My 1993 Buick Century was not driven for 4 months, and now I have tried to drive it and now it stalls and the battery has to be recharged to get it going again. Does anyone have any ideas of what to do....

car batteries cannot be allowed to stay discharged for long ... since there are things that still draw current when the car is turned off then the battery will go dead over time unless its charged periodically .. if it stays discharged for long then it will be perminantly damaged ... so the battery will have to be replaced ... you can usually take the car to an auto parts place .. they often will install a new battery free if you purchase it from them .... they can also test your alternator at the same time .. ... if you cant get the car to run enough to get to an auto parts place then perhaps you can install a new battery yourself and then have the parts place check your installation and alternator ...
