the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: LG View Wont Turn on, stuck on start up screen.

There may be a problem with the charger, as this is what happened to me. If you bought the phone abroad and only received a 2-pin charger, it means that this has messed up the data on your phone. Because the chargers abroad can only hold up to 120volt, so if you have  plugged it into a shaver socket or into a two-pin converter which gives you a 3-pin, it will still mess up your phone. I recommend you take it to a shop to fix. It cost me £25 to fix, but it's working fine now.

SOURCE: hx4700 wont work after failed update on ROM v1.10

Try hard reset: pressing and holding the calendar and iTask buttons and doing a soft reset for 2 seconds.

Hard resetting a WM 5 HX 4700 is to press and hold the Contacts and Mail buttons and then doing a soft reset. The boot screen will popup with a message “To perform a clean reset, which will clear all data in memory, press the [Calendar] button”

If that fails, try upgrading to wm 6 or wm 6.1 then downgrading afterwards.

I've upgraded from wm2003SE to wm6.1 alkor rc2.2 rom.

SOURCE: I have recently purchased a Sony eReader PRS 600.

The issue might be with the Book. Let me know whether you havedownloaded the book from the Reader Store. If it from the Reader Store, try downloading tjhe book once again, and then transfer iot to the Reader again. That should resolve the issue. If the issue occurs with all the books, it seem s that the issue is with the Readrer and in that case, try performing a soft reset by pressing the RESET button using a sharp-pointed object. That shouldf resolve ths issue. If the issue still persists, perform a hard reset and then send the Reader for service to trhe Sony Service Center (If the issue still persists). Please follow the link to get it repaired: http://eservice.sony.com

Performing a basic reset A basic reset will force your eReader to restart properly. In many cases, this is enough to restore your eReader to normal.
  1. If possible, turn off your eReader.
  2. Locate the small hole on the bottom of your eReader.
  3. Unfold a paperclip and slide an end into the hole.
  4. Press gently until you feel a click. Your eReader should restart.
Performing a factory reset If a basic reset doesn't work, you can perform a factory reset to restore your eReader to its original settings. After a factory reset, you'll have to set up and sync your eReader again.
If you perform a factory reset on your eReader, you'll:
  • Remove all books from your eReader. Any books you purchased from Kobo can be re-downloaded from the Kobo Cloud after a factory reset.
  • Lose any bookmarks and annotations you made in your books since you last synced your eReader.
  • Sign out of your account on your eReader.
  • Reset all of your settings and preferences.
  • Return your eReader to its original settings.
  1. If possible, back up any books or documents that you added to your eReader using Adobe Digital Editions, or that you manually added using your computer. You do not need to back up any books you bought from Kobo. Any books you purchased from Kobo can be re-downloaded from the Kobo Cloud after a factory reset.
  2. Go to your Home screen.
  3. Tap the ios-menu.svg Menu icon at the top of the screen.
The Quick Settings panel will appear.
  4. Tap Settings.
  5. Tap Device information.

My kobo is frozen on starting sync won't turn on or off

Note: If your Kobo device has been physically damaged, it is no longer covered by Kobo's limited warranty. On a Kobo eReader, a physically damaged screen will look like it's been shattered, or you may see vertical or horizontal lines on the screen with a frozen image. If you haven't dropped or damaged your Kobo eReader, but are experiencing issues, try the steps below in the order suggested.
  • Turn your eReader off and then on again.
  • If your screen is frozen, slide the power button to the right and hold it for 10 seconds. Your eReader should turn off.
  • Turn your eReader off and charge it for at least four hours. Note: Your computer should be turned on while you are charging your Kobo eReader.
  • If your eReader isn't charging, try using a different Micro USB cable or a different USB port on your computer. Note: If your eReader's battery is completely drained it can take up to 15 minutes before it reacts to being plugged into power.
  • If you're having trouble while reading a book on your Kobo Aura H2O, Kobo Aura, Kobo Aura HD, Kobo Glo, or Kobo Mini: tap the centre of the screen to bring up the Reading Menu, tap the > Home icon to return to your Home screen, then open your book again.
  • If you're having trouble while reading a book on your Kobo Touch: press the Home button and open your book again.
  • Try a basic reset.
  • If you're still having issues, consider a factory reset.
  • If you're unable to reset your device, please contact Kobo Customer Care

My Levro 3 ebook reader has stopped working, my computer will no longer recognise it as a mass storage device and i cant find the device drivers anywhere on the internet what should i do?

Hello,
I suggest that you update the driver of your ebook reader. You can try scanning your computer with RadarSync. It will look for the updates of all the drivers in your computer and you can use the same software to update them all.

You can access the software here. www.radarsync.com

I hope this helps!

Solution: Use the Literati USB connection and the following steps
1. Plug the eReader into a charger
2. Download v2.0 of the Literati or Lookbook firmware from - http://download.kobobooks.com/firmwares/merchsource/2-0/KoboRoot.tgz , and save the file somewhere you will remember
  • NOTE: Some browsers will download the file and rename it to KoboRoot.tar. The upgrade will not work with the .tar extension. If this happened with your download, please rename the downloaded file to KoboRoot.tgz
3. Keeping the charger connected, connect the Literati or Lookbook to your computer through the provided USB cable
4. The eReader will appear on your computer as a mass storage device
ON A MAC:

1. Open mass storage device in Finder

2 . Click GO from the top menu

3. Click Go to folder

4. Type in .kobo (include the period).

5. .kobo folder will open

6. Transfer the KoboRoot.tgz file you downloaded to the .kobo folder

7. Once the file has transferred, safely eject the eReader

8. Turn off the eReader

9. Turn on the eReader

10. The eReader will take up to 10 minutes to start up, please be patient and do not reset or power off the eReader in any way.

11. Once the eReader restarts, it will have the latest version (v2.0) installed. You can verify this by pressing the menu button, selecting Settings and looking at the Version number.
ON A PC:

1. Open mass storage device in Windows Explorer

2. Ensure hidden folders are visible (different for different Windows versions)

XP: Go to My Computer > Tools menu > Folder Options > View Tab > Advanced Settings > Hidden Files and Folders > Show hidden files and folders. Press OK all the way out.

Vista and Windows 7: Start > Control Panel > Folder Options > View Tab > Click Show Hidden files and folders > OK

3. Open .kobo folder in the mass storage window

4. Transfer the KoboRoot.tgz file you downloaded to the .kobo folder

5. Once file has transferred, safely eject the eReader

6. Turn the eReader off

7. Turn the eReader on

8. The eReader will take up to 10 minutes to start up, please be patient and do not reset or power off the eReader in any way.

9. Once the eReader restarts, it will have the latest version (v2.0) installed. You can verify this by pressing the menu button, selecting Settings and looking at the Version number.

Hi,
Try this. 1. Carefully take the battery out. 2. And you should see a white cable attached to an 'outlet'. 3. Unplug it and then wait about five seconds. plug it back in.

If this helpful, please give a testimonial and vote by pressing button thumbs up.

Pandigital novel 7" WHITE ereader wont turn on.

You can try pressing the reset button with a straightened paperclip of pin. If that doesn't do anything removing the back and unplug the battery. Leave it unplugged for a minute or two and reconnect it. Be careful unplugging it as you don't want to put to much force on the wires. You can use a small screw driver or tweezers to pry on the plug. The white plug here is what you're locking for. See if it powers on and hopefully it does. If not you may have to contact Pandigital.

Hope this helps
