SOURCE: mower quits when engaging mower deck of husqvarna yth 2348

Try putting a jumper wire on the wire going from the engine to the seat. Take that plug and put a wire from one side to the other. Be careful not to cut your feet off when engaging deck.

SOURCE: how to adjust mower deck height

There should be two threaded rods with a nut on them that goes from the frame to the deck. Check the height of each blade and which ever side is out of balance you can disconnect that sides rod (usually held onto the mount with a clip or cotter pin) and turn the rod to either raise or lower your deck until it is level.

The above was for leveling your deck.

If you just need to raise or lower the deck depends on if you have a lever on the right side with a push button on top just depress the push button and push forward to lower or pull back to raise.
It might have a round knob that you turn to raise or lower.

Good luck

SOURCE: how to adjust the mower deck on my murray rider,

Park the tractor on a firm, level surface. . .
At the lower end of the lift/lower travel slot, there should be a plastic cover which you pop up so that your blade lift handle goes all the way down (it should say something about blade level on there somewhere. . . . .
After you have the handle in this position, look at the front lift arms of the mower deck and find the 2 large wing nuts, one on each side. . . . .
Loosen these while the deck is down and then retighten them Your deck is now level and will lift to its highest recommended position when you raise the lever

SOURCE: my deck is way too low. How do I adjust it?

Your mower should have a lever on it that you move to raise or lower your deck. The lever will normally have the slots that it locks into numbered like the trans gears if yours is not automatic.

How to raise the deck of a Toro SS 5000 mower above the highest factroy setting

Hi Robert:
I'd start by looking at the mechanism with the engine off while someone else moved the height adjust lever from hi to lo several times.
There will be 2 or 3 linkages that connect the deck vertically to the height adjust mechanism. Shortening these linkages should raise the cut height. If you're lucky, there should be enough clearance to allow the linkages to be drilled so that you can simply move the mounting pins into the new holes.
Or, you could make shorter linkages.
Best of luck.

Craftsman zts 7500 50" deck is there anyway to adjust height on this mower? at the highest level it cuts way to short and i have tons of grass blowing out the side cant hardly mow unless i mow about e

The range of the mover cut should be between 3-3/4" to 1-1/2".

If you are not getting these heights then the mover height mechanism may be jammed or broken. Use lubrication as instructed in the manual.

Craftsman zts 7000 deck adjustment

The front hitch rods are used to raise or lower the deck from front to back. If the adjustment isn't working, look for something that's obstructing movement.

I need to adjust my scag mower deck

The mower deck can be adjusted from a height of 1.0 inch to 6.0 inches at 1/4-inch intervals. To adjust the cutting height:
1. Disengage the power to the cutter blades.
2. Push the cutting height adjustment foot pedal all the way forward using your right foot until it locks in place
3. Insert the lanyard pin into the cutting height index at the desired cutting height. Push forward on the deck lift foot lever, hold in place and pull back on the deck release lever. Slowly release the foot pedal. A deck height decal is located on the cutting height index as an aid in adjusting the deck to the desired height.

Move the 4 wheel adjustment levers to the number 4 position which is all the way forward (towards you if facing the front of the mower) and that is the highest setting which is about 4" cut height. Each number for the lever position represents the inches in cut. In between numbers is 1/2" so in between 2 and 3 would be 2 1/2" cut as an example.

Front wheels on manual mower lock when pushing for awhile.

1 Locate the height adjustment lever on the inside of the left rear wheel.
2 Kneel next to the mower and push the left height adjustment lever toward the center of the mower. This will unlock the lever from the locking pin on which the height is currently set.

3Rotate the lever toward the front of the mower to lower the height of cut, or toward the rear of the mower to raise the height of cut.

4 Release the lever over the locking pin closest to the desired height of cut.

5 Repeat these steps with the adjustment lever on the right-side rear wheel. Be sure to set the right wheel lever to the same position as the left-side wheel's lever for an even cut.

Almost all mowers' cutting height is adjusted by little "tabs" at each wheel. The tabs need to be pushed in to adjust.

i going to assume that yr tractor does have the hydrolic p.t.o. that controls the drive and cutting mechanism's???... if so you might start with checking the hydrolic fluid in the resevior. or you might check into replacing the hydrolic p.t.o. pump , if you ran the tractor in heavy work without any hydrolic fluid in the p.t.o. pump the pump is probably burnt up. if so im sure you can beat the cost of a new pump by rebuilding it yrself with a kit.
