Question about Samsung Washing Machines
My Samsung J1045a front loader isn't draining all the water automatically. After about 10 minutes of grinding noises in the pump and only small amounts of water being pumped out the machine displays error 5E. I have removed and cleaned the debris filter, checked the black tube running from the tub to the drain pump and free of obstructions, checked the impeller isn't broken and spins freely, checked the outlet pipe and drain pipe are also free of obstructions. I have checked that the impeller spins when the pump is running (or trying to run). I have also run a hot (90 degree) wash with bicarb soda and vinegar, which loosened some soft build up and expelled some hard grainy material but the issue remains. It appears from other posts on the site that the drain pump might need replacing - before I do so, are there any other things I could check. If the drain pump is the fault, would any water be pumped out? At the moment some amounts are pumped out but not all. In addition, when we stood the machine back up after trying to diagnose and fix the pump issue the machine now fills continuously. I'm getting to the point where I'm considering a new machine. This is another issue in a long list we've had with this machine.
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

what I have found is that the washer thinks it is not pumping out .. if your drain pump is clearly removing the all the water in a good time... then the problem is your pressure switch...it is telling the computer that it still has water in the machine...
replace the pressure switch and it will solve your f21 error.
It is a round unit on the right hand side on top...with a tube and wires going to it...let me know if it helps

if your hearing clackling try and clean the pump and the hose leading into the pump for a coin ,,small ,,(dime),,,hair clip,,also its a must that you use he detergent,,or you sude up,,if you do use he your using to much,,now bleach the unit out on a normal cycle hot wash cold rinse with about a pint of bleach...and no you can purchase part of a pump..it comes as you see it in unit..onthejob

Just had the same problem, after Much patience and persistence I found the blockage at the y piece that joins the pump to the outlet hose air trap towards the top of the machine LHS with the top and cover off.
It was clogged solid therefore no back pressure on the top little ball valve (between the air trap and the outlet) therefore no seal therefore norain therefore a drain-fault that persists regardless of a cleaned pump filter.
