Question about Vizio VO370M LCD TV
So, this happened out of no where. I was watching my tv one night, no problem. The next day I turn it on but there was no audio no video. The orange light turns white, but nothing. I called tech support, they said to unplug it, try using another outlet, but nothing. Unfortunately, my extended warraty expired a few months ago.. they are asking for $200 to get it checked (might as well buy a new one). I am not a big TV user so it's not like i turn it off and on a lot. Anyone have this problem? My mom told me to change the bulb, but not sure if that would work (especially since theres also no audio). Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
Hello dear , this problem is due to a high voltage fault from the electricity . I have read your message , before you go with your TV to the tech support just loose the TV from behind and check if all cables inside the main board are connected in there positions , second step try to loose the main board and clean it well with alcohol liquid then wait till it dries well .after that , reconnect all cables in there positions and try to turn it on , if it gives you the same fault , that means you should replace a new main board

stored voltages are high no touching these circuts becuase they hold charges and alot of screws.
fualty capacitors you say after a while it stays on theres a full charge in the unit theres some type of discharging effect on the set after its off for a while. voltage goes to low or unstable after it is off for a while. your better off getting the service docs for this set if you want to diy..other wise get a tv tech to check it for you. hope this helps

SOURCE: sound but no picture
Hello Merobert the problem that your tv set is having is coming from the Y sustain board, it can be the IPM fail, the FET fail or the fuse in that circuit could fail as well which can also cause this problem, what i would suggest is to search this website for the service manual for your tv set the reason being is so you can pinpoint which board it is when you open up your tv set you can replace this board yourself just be very careful and save some money at the same time click on the link below and you will find the Y sustain board for your tv set change it out and your tv set should be up and running and no time thank you hope this helps.

Sounds like a failed or at least failing power supply / power board
inside the TV.
Unfortunately this is a very difficult repair, and unless you are an
electrician I would not recommend attempting it. You will want to
contact a local TV repair person in your area if you are sure this is
out of warranty, more on that in a bit here. This is actually the
most common problem with this type of TV, I see it every day, it just
happens - sometimes with new TVs and sometimes it takes many years for
it to happen.
If you think it may still be under warranty please contact the manufacturer to file an RMA. If you happened to purchase the TV with a major credit card (not a debit card) there is a good chance it may still be under the free extended warranty most credit cards place on electronics. Please contact your credit card company to inquire if they do this, and they will be able to file the claim and get you a refund for the TV.
If you want to attempt the repair yourself please let me know and I will get you the part number and a place you can purchase it from for what you need.
So sorry that I don't have better news but it is definitely a power issue internally.
