SOURCE: air conditioner makes noise when

if this is a heat pump then the reversing valve may be the culprit but the valve makes a his sound normally. if this is more of a raddle or whine it could be the condensor motor the last thing would be the compressor if the unit shutters and it comes on it is a telltale sign if the compressor having issues

Evaporater freezes up after running for aa short while

HELLO THERE:
When you set the temperature settings down around 64 or lower the unit will freeze up so i recommend to keep it at around 68 or 70 ok this will keep it from freezing also make sure that the unit is free of any obstructions so the air can freely get to the unit ok?
best regards michael
