In almost all the led tvs there is an option in the menu to select whether you wish to use internal speaker or the external speaker. You have to make the after putting an external speaker.

How do I get external speakers to come on?

You can select the option at its sound menu. Get it, and select 'External speakers' which in turn switch off the internal speaker, and bypass the signal to the external speaker. But; the you can't bypass the audio output, but the audio signal output from the back of the TV to any external amplifier or so. If you've any doubt, contact any technician. Gopakumar Gopalan Google

HOW DO I CONNECT A GATEWAY LP2207 TO GET THE AUDIO TO WORK?

Some monitors do not have speakers (my HP monitor does not). The sound has come out of some external speakers attached to the tower. Or maybe you need to access the monitors on-screen menu to turn the speakers on (if they have speakers). Or maybe you can access the monitor speaker control through the PCs Device Manager option (this is where all external components attache to the PC can be viewed, and sometimes changed).

No sound, when I click on the little speaker on the right hand lower coner the sound level bar is moving but no sound

Check the sound ICON at the lower right of the screen. Make certain the options are Internal Speakers and not EXTERNAL Speakers. Test by using a head phone in the external port to see if the sound is diverted properly. If you have sound OUT at the external Ports, then Reverse the option to Laptop Speakers.

No sound on my sharp aquos lc-45gd4u 45 in

Assuming you are using the internal speakers, check and make sure you have the audio enabled. Some TV sets have a option to turn off the internal speakers. Also make sure mute isn't turned on. If you are using external audio setup, double check your connections.
