I hooked up an amp for my stereo everything running fine till my fuse blew i put new one in on the main power line from battery to amp stereo works fine but now my valves miss fireing and heads winding bad...

Your amp as nothing to do with your car runnig bad. Your engine has a problem. It's miss fireing may be do to bad coil or even spark plugs or spark wires

Want stay running at slow speed or idle

it could be multiple things the only way you can tell is listening to the engine from what you have told me my guess is either
1 the piston rings are shot where the seal of the rings isnt 100%
2 the carberetter isnt tuned properly
3 and this is the thing i recommend doing first......change the spark plugs because that is in most cases the cause of this

1997 exploder back fires and dosent go over 25mph

Check the fuel pressure, the problem will not be with the press regulator, most likely the fuel pressure is low, also you may have an issue with the MAF sensor. Have you run the test for trouble codes? if not go to a Kragen and have them run the test, it is free, other parts stores do the test for free as well.
