Question about Skil 7 1/4" Magnesium "Mag 77" Wormdrive Saw With Twist Lock Model # SHD77M 72
Had to replace the outer flange/blade clamp on my Model 77 Skilsaw as it cracked from fatigue. I found the correct replacement part but now I find that the center bolt that hold the blade clamp on just spins freely. Easy fix or major repair?
There was probably a hole in the flange that you discarded that was used to put a pin/ nail/ bolt/ etc in from the body of the saw to hold that flange from turning while you did the nut up. Unless that hole is there you will have no way of holding the shaft to tighten the nut.
