Question about ASUS Notebook K55A-DB51 15.6inch Core i5-3210M 4GB 500GB
I was updating my bios to the latest version and it bluescreened mid flash, now when I try to turn it on nothing happens. No brief fan motion, no disk noise, no flash of light. Absolutely nothing happens. is there way to hard reset the bios? Keep in mind that any kind of software fix is out of the question, it won't power on.
Press Ctrl Home and the powerbutton at the same time for 10 seconds. If this not works, you need to send it in for repaires. The mb needs to be jigged to reflash the proper bios.

SOURCE: BIOS Crash
ASUS will probably not honor the warranty in this situation. And even though the computer worked for a short time after the mods there is a legit possibility that the mods did cause the computer to eventually fail (and during a BIOS Update.) Sorry man. It looks like you bricked your system from that last BIOS update. Your only chance is to remove the EEPROM from the motherboard and replace it with one that has the correct firmware flashed.

What you need to do is to get the manual for the motherboard os you can reset the BIOS. On the other hand, you may not be able to preform that. This model is like a netbook and try this, remove the battery and the power cord. give it 15min. put the battery back in and reboot the system and than the power cord. that should help. if not, than a tech person is your next step.

I wouldn't quite yet. Here's a solution that should fix this...First, I'm assuming that the BIOS is recognizing the hard drive in the first place? The BIOS should have a utility option to "auto-detect" the hard drive. If it does, then you most likely have a corrupted MBR (Master Boot Record).
Here's my advise: Obtain a DOS-disc (windows 95 installation disc would do just fine) and once at the DOS command line at C: type the following command after the C
C: fixMBR (then hit enter)
this will move the MBR from sector 0 to the next available sector - 1.
Now install the windows installation disk that came with the computer and perform a "repair installation"
It will load all windows sys config files and boot files. It will seem as though you are totally reinstalling windows but you will not.
At first, you follow the simple onscreen prompts to install windows and when you get to the point of entering R for repair...you don't want that yet...continue with install. on the next screen you will see a prompt for a repair installation - this is what you're after. Do not format any partitions and you'll be fine. If you cannot locate a dos disk, here's a link to download one and burn on a CD:
Best of luck!
