Question about Brother HL 2270DW Laser Printer
So my printer will start to print and it will get about half way out of the printer [where I can see it and jam]. I pull out the paper and take out and put back in the cartridge and the printing will resume. When the next page prints out it will do the same thing. Sometimes I can reset the whole printer by unplugging and plugging back in and it will sometimes work for one or two pages, then jam again. Any ideas?
Hi, most paper jams like this are caused by something inside the printer called a "pickup roller" which is a series of rubber tube/grippy things that are responsible for moving the paper through the printer. If these rollers are dirty or worn down, they don't grip the paper properly and end up causing jams. In larger, more expensive printers, they have maintenance kits that you can buy to replace rollers, fusers, and other commonly replaced parts - but it's probably not practical for this model of printer. You may want to try opening the printer as much as you can (without removing screws) and using compressed air and a lightly-damp-with-alcohol cotton-swab to clean the rollers and other parts that touch the paper.

Take the toner cartrige out, look around with a flashlight for a piece of paper or something that could jam the works. Check the movable tab that comes out of the front of the machine to hold paper up, maybe it has gotten crooked or something. Don't have anything in front of the machine to block the paper coming out. A can of compressed air can be used to blow the machine out.

Clearing paper jam in a printer is simple almost seven step
procedure depending on the printer. Paper jam is the term used to refer to the
scenario where your paper fails to come out of the printer during the print
process. When you send a document to the printer, normally the printer prints
out the document on a paper; then you can pick up your printed copy. When the
paper gets stuck in the printer, it is said that paper has jammed in the
printer "paper jam".
Even if you are not a technical person, you can conveniently
clear paper jams. All you need is to follow the set of procedures outlined
