Can my powered subwoofer be fixed?

Possibly, It took a while but I had a pair of 25 year old JBL Subs repaired after many said they cant be fixed. Have a look on line or in the phone book for your nearest amplifier / speakers / musicians electronics repair shop.

How to make a Dummy load for Cb radio

I took a "Pringles chip" rounded container and wound 8.25 ft of fine copper wire around it from top to bottom with a screw up top(bore into cardboard) holding it in place, and a***Shiny" screw **attached to the metal bottom. Then i took 8.25 ft. and placed it inside of the Pringles can. I punched a hole into the plastic lid and pulled through the wire to go to ANTENNA INPUT. Sitting it on top of the radio I let the metal bottom touch the GROUND by a screw. I keyed the radio it matched the same as my Antenna did. It keyed the exact same 1.5 watts and swinging to 4 watts when I whistled on my PC68Xl Uniden 40 ch. CB radio. Make sure both ends are stripped of enamel coating by scraping it off. I use a cigarette lighter for this or my teeth, or rough sandpaper, or nail polisher. The screw up top of canister is not important --it just holds the wire,so to easy wound the wire. I gapped it about 1 inch apart between windings.

My Infinity HPS-1000 Subwoofer when turned on wont stay on. What could be the problem ?

Could be many things. The control panel on these have been notoriously problematic (check the forums). Mine sat for a couple of years because it would power on. It just took longer and longer and then nothing. But I couldn't part with it; the way it made the house feel when it worked. But there doesn't seem to be any repair shops around anymore. So there is this shop on Ebay watched and checked the feedback. I coughed up the $178 and they did something to fix it. I don't know what. I don't care. It worked. Here is the link, looks like they are still doing it.

Need to fix a kicker l7 15" subwoofers blow the coil

If you have a direct replacement, unscrew the speaker from the case, the cables to it are either terminals or soldered on place so disconnect those, then reconnect the new cone the same way round as you took off the cables and screw back into place.

Pioneer vsx 519v

Are you sure the correct input is selected on BOTH the TV AND the A/V receiver?

Does the subwoofer work on other inputs? If not, is the subwoofer connected correctly? If so, is the input connected correctly?

Open sonos play 5

Okay, so I literally just took mine apart, a screw came out that was holding the subwoofer in place and it was causing horrible distortion and vibration.

First off there are a bunch of screws you need to remove, all phillips heads thank god. The front grill just needs a little bit of tender pulling, start at the seams on the sides and pry it out, its only held in there by some velcro material on the front and how tight the sides slide into the rest of the unit, so it shouldnt be too hard to remove. Once it's off you will see all of the screws that need to be pulled out, they are all the same length and there should be 6 of them.

After that you will need to flip the Play 5 upside down and pull off the rubber bottom plate, its held on with a tacky adhesive but its pretty easy to pull off. You will see that there are now a bunch more screws to undo at this point, including 2 stickers over two of the screws saying if you remove or break you void the warranty (Sonos warranty is 1 year, so if it's beyond that, go for it). You pull off those screws as well, pretty sure there are 6 of one size and 2 of a skinnier size. This will easily remove the bottom plate.

From there you can now access a few more screws that will then allow you into the system. I hope that this can help you fix it or you got brave and tried it yourself at this point.

Rear speaker rattles in 02 Montero Limited

That cover doesn't come off - It's screwed (4) from behind. You have to take the upper trim piece off (and handle) to remove the bottom trim piece and access the subwoofer. If your sub is like mine, the foam all the way around the sub has torn away, making it rattle. There are only 4 screws holding the sub in place, and it's sticky taped to the wall, so you may have to pry it off. Hope this helps!
