Sony Trinitron wont power up

the red light flashing tells you and a service person why the tv will not power up . if you have test equipment to work on electronic equipment then we can move forward if not ,your tv will need parts replaced or board replaced . you dont have a failure that you can change a setting or push a reset button to repair . you will need to get in there with equipment inject signals,look at waveforms ,and check voltages . and know what you are doing with the information you gather ...the other answer you need to send it out for repair .... most repairs on this set will run 100.00-200.00 for common problems .........Please if this answer helped , please rate this 3 or 4 stars . and keep me in the paid answer department . I have a Sony Trinitron Model KV-32FS320. a while back it just would not turn on.Blinks 5 times.

The standby light should be blinking in a repeated count. That count will indicate the circuit in which the problem occurred that forced the shutdown. Please post that count and I will be able to provide additional details about the problem and its possible solution.
