SOURCE: i hav altec lansing vs2621,

Hello
Check its speaker. In subwoofers, the lead wire that goes to the voice coil; goes from the speaker solder terminal to the vocie coil will get internal break and this type of fault sill occur. Intermittent working of speaker will be the result. Lead wire can be replaced. It can be bought from the electronic spare part shops. It is a type of copper braid wire. If you have the skill, fid out which wire is faulty and replace the same. you have to take out the speaker out of the box for repair. Broken wire can be detected by measuring its resistance with a multimeter. OK.

How to open left speaker

If you remove the front fabric cover by levering it off using a flat head screw driver, it will reveal the screws to open the speaker up. This is the same for both the left and right speakers.2_6_2016_3_29_16_pm.jpg2_6_2016_3_29_17_pm.jpg

When i turn on the power for my speakers it hums like crazy

do they hum when you unplug the audio jack from the PC?
If they stop humming when disconnected the problem will be down to a bad earth connection on the motherboard, or a failing power supply (rectifier circuit)
Humming is normally a result of voltage potential and the 50hz frequency in the mains.

Hope this helps

Right Speaker not working... The bass and left speaker work fine but I'm getting no sound off the right

try swapping the speakers around if the problem still persists either the speaker is faulty
the speakers plug/outlet is usually at the back of the computer you will have to open up the computer to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make sure the connection is good
try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the CPU central processing unit and your sound card dust causes static to build up in a computer causing it to overheat any many other problems:
hope this helps you

Theres no bass anymore, their only a week old, i think maybe cause i unplugged the cords from my laptop with out turning it off firstn how do i get the bass back

Hello amy

How are you today?

Well amy, by unplugging the cords will not do any harm. But did you check if the cables are damaged when you pulled out? because the audio coming out of laptop will be digital and any one wire disconnected will give you echo in the background. Did you observe? anyways i suggest you to please try replacing the audio cables first. Then rest can be tested later i dont think its a major issue.

Take care

All I hear is a hum, the speakers aren't working and I know that they are hooked in correctly. Just want to make sure.

if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it
you might have to uninstall then restart your computer then reinstall both the sound drivers and the sound card make sure you have both of these devices backed up to a disc before uninstalling
a yellow? question mark means you need to install/update driver to do this
right click to install driver also
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound, video and game controllers you might see a yellow question mark? Right click to reinstall drivers

My bass won't like rumble or shake or anything like that and one of my speakers wont work.

Altech lancing speakers are one of the best of its kind, but at times few of us who are unlucky get stuffs with issues. I believe that you need to check the diaphragm of these speakers and also the connection of the one which is not working. Good Luck.

I lost sound on one side of bose stereo system., Seems its the power ouput on the right side speaker, i changed speakers and the right one works when plugged into the left output. How do I open the bose...

first lets check
no need to open any thing

1) just trace the wire of working channel and plug out that and connect to opposite side of that channel

for example: if front left is not working, remove pin of front right and plug it into front left

after that listen the sound if front left is working then no need to open amplifier just check the wires of satellite speaker which is not working

how to check broken wire:

1) just observe your speaker nearly if you found any screw holes open it, if u can not find any screw holes remove front net which is fitted by press lock or any stepped groove, you can remove that and if you are removing front net you have to open speaker from casing then after you can find speaker's wire shouldered or bolted to it just check wire and go on after that u'll be sure that weather your speaker is failed or wire!!!

enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
