SOURCE: loud buzzing when amp connects to guitar

The buzzing noise could be caused by a grould feedback loop. This occures when the amp is plugged into one power socket and the guitar's amp is plugged into a drifferent power socket.
Try to use a power board, plug in all your devices into this power board and plug the power board into a power socket.

SOURCE: Onkyo tx-sr606 receiver buzz

This kind of noise can be caused by a transformer that was poorly made. Iron core transformers are normally 'potted' in a vacuum so that epoxy (or lacquer) is forced into the laminations to prevent them from trying to vibrate with the line frequency.
If you are adventurous, remove the housing, turn on the power and using an insulating probe such as a plastic rod (a plastic picnic knife will work), place the tip of it on any larger parts you see and place the other end behind your ear. This will carry the sound in a more directional manner to your ear. You should be able to locate the source of the buzz.
If you can, and it turns out to be a transformer, it will probably have a metal shield around it so it might not be possible to gain access to the laminations. If the shield isn't ultra tight, you might be able to flow some 'Super Glue' into the cracks and with luck, 'glue' the laminations together. Super Glue (or equivalent) is a good insulator so will not cause any electrical problems but take care not to get it on any plastics that are exposed with the housing on, it will cloud them forever.

SOURCE: I have an Onkyo TX-SR806 receiver, that won't play

Don't know if it applies to your model but on my 607 it says Zone 2 won't work if Bi-amp is being used!

Onkyo TX-DS 595 receiver surround channel unrealiable

How you power off the amp won't hurt it generally. I used to fix ONKYO amps under warranty, and I can tell you now, it will be full of dry solder joints. Take you unit to your local repairer, and they will resolder all the offending PCB's inside. This type of repair will fix 99% of strange audio noises and cutting in and out etc. for ONKYO recievers. Otherwise this is quite a good product.

Alot of loud feedback through speakers, a loud buzzing noise

What sources make it happen or which do not? All buzzing = something in the amplifier end. is it from all speakers or just one?
One external source= RCA cables not grounded. Reconnect them tightly with a twisting motion to wipe off oxidation.

Buzzing/vibration noise from ONYKO TX-SR506 unit

If the unit is under warranty, DO NOT open it up. Bring it in for an exchange or warranty service. Explain that the unit makes noise during use and it will be serviced. This could be as simple as a bad connection in the power supply area and you are hearing oscillations or it could be a defective power transformer. Either case will be covered under warranty so there should be no charge to you.

Keep us posted.

Distortion/noise and buzz in front left speaker

Try to see if the reciever will make the buzzing/noise without anything connected to it except power, and speakers. Tune into a local radio station and see if the noise continues. If the noise has stopped, then you know there is an issue with the player or cable.
