SOURCE: Foxconn NF4UK8AA-8EKRS NO BOOT

Could be one of three things, either your motherboard is faulty (check the capacitors for bulging) and is not getting the power to the processor, the processor itself has faulted, or it's simply a flat cmos battery, as this can cause none starters.

SOURCE: How to hook up the front panel switch for a Quicksilver2-cmt motherboard

You first need to know the make and model number of the motherboard. Most mobo's have the make and model printed on the board itself, other times there will be a sticker.

locate these and let me know what make and model and i can do my best to provide you with the manual.

Thanks,
Brad Nelson

SOURCE: can i install 1GB ddr2 on P4VMM2 Motherboard?

This is from the www.crucial.com website for your motherboard:

"Each memory slot can hold DDR PC3200,DDR PC2700,SDRAM, PC133 with a maximum of 1GB per slot."

It does NOT use DDR2. You can go to the crucial site and run a scan on your system. It works pretty well.

Also you can use a video card with a PCI or 4x AGP interface only.

Can i use ddr2 on my Foxconn l s-36 motherboard?

Could not find that MB listed. My suggestion would be to go to http://www.crucial.com/ and run their scanner. It is safe and will tell you what you have what your MB will hold and what kind of RAM it takes.

Thanks for using Fixya.

The Foxconn n15235 isn't the correct designation.This is a propritary designation from EI SystemsFont Definitions */ @font-face {font-family:PMingLiU; panose-1:2 2 3 0 0 0 0 0 0 0; mso-font-alt:新細明體; mso-font-charset:136; mso-generic-font-family:roman; mso-font-pitch:variable; mso-font-signature:3 137232384 22 0 1048577 0;} @font-face {font-family:"\@PMingLiU"; panose-1:2 2 3 0 0 0 0 0 0 0; mso-font-charset:136; mso-generic-font-family:roman; mso-font-pitch:variable; mso-font-signature:3 137232384 22 0 1048577 0;} /* Style Definitions */ p.MsoNormal, li.MsoNormal, div.MsoNormal {mso-style-parent:""; margin:0cm; margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:12.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-font-family:PMingLiU; mso-bidi-language:AR-SA;} @page Section1 {size:595.3pt 841.9pt; margin:72.0pt 90.0pt 72.0pt 90.0pt; mso-header-margin:35.4pt; mso-footer-margin:35.4pt; mso-paper-source:0;} div.Section1 {page:Section1;} --> the motherboard in your system is actually a Foxconn’s P4M800P7MB.

Foxconn P9657AB motherboard installation problem

You're Foxconn board uses the Award bios.
The long beeps you are hearing are telling you there is a problem with you're memory.
You're pic does not look like the Foxconn P9657AB-8EKRS2H MB as shown in the user manual. Found on This link.
http://www.foxconnchannel.com/product/Motherboards/detail_overview.aspx?ID=en-us0000297
The pic on Foxconn's site does but not the manual listed.
The motherboard uses four 240-pin slots with 1.8V for DDR2 memory only.
(Question? Did you're ECS MB use DDR2 memory)?
If you have more than 1 DIMM installed remove all but 1.
Move the DIMM into the closest slot next to the CPU.
Boot the PC & check for beeps. If still presant move the DIMM to the next slot & try again. Continue this through all four slots. Than try another DIMM. If the mother board continues to beep as mentioned than call Foxconn. (There is a bios update mentioned below for memory).
The CPU may come into question. (It’s revision). You may have to call Foxconn for this information. (580-272-0035). They do not place this information in their user manual. Most users have to call. The rev of the CPU may conflick with the memory causing you to receive the bios beeps. (I have had to return 2 boards for this reason). I picked an Asus board over Foxconn.
I have come across this with Foxconn motherboards these past two years. Suggest you update you’re bios. Foxconn has a revision dated, 3-28-2008 for memory before you call. After bios update test the memory again for beeps. Still there? Return the board is my suggestion.
It’s a guess that the red led will go away after the memory issue has been addressed. Normally there is a green led on most motherboards. This means standby. The board has power connected. I could not find any reference in the user manual * .pdf, for R450.

Good Luck ninjo61!

Memory upgrade

Hi Dave,
Foxconn 945G7MA-8KS2
Memory (Page 10 in user manual).
This motherboard includes four 240-pin slots with 1.8 V for DDR2. These slots support 256 Mb, 512 Mb and 1 Gb DDR2 technologies for x8 and x16 devices, and support maximum memory bandwidth of 8.5GB/s using DDR2 533 memory,
10.7GB/s using DDR2 667 in Dual-Channel interleaved mode, You must install at least one memory bank to ensure normal operation.
Need you're manual? Click on the link below.

Foxconn 945G7MA-8KS2 motherboard main page link.

To upgrade with 1GB. This includes S/H. (Free S/H).
http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=80098-35

TigerDirect less S/H. (S/H not included).
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1026780&CatId=1647

I did find others for less on the surface. Untill you go to check out & get slammed for shipping (ground), falls between $4.99 to $9.99. I use Corsair myself. Never had a problem.

Have more questions, feel free to ask.

Memory upgrade from ddr 256mb to ddr2 1g

there is a jumper setting to slect which type of memory you want to use, check your manual for details on how to change it

1> enusre the rams are in correctly
2>ensure your main board supports the amount of memory and the speed of the memory
3> verify jumper select to correct memory type is set correctly

if the main board aint compatable with the memory you brought that will cause the same problem
