My blade keeps coming loose after hitting a rock on lawn mover

I recently hit a rock with lawn mower and now bolt and blade keep coming loose. I added a lock washer to bolt but it did not help. Do you have any ideas?

Why do the deck vibrate on my cub cadet z force zero turn when I engage the blade?

Anon any vibration is down to something being loose, like a nut or bolt. It's possible the blade has also become very damaged and it is not completely straight anymore due to hitting a rock or something.

Craftmans mover blade keeps hitting ground

Is the deck too low or one side lower than the other? Level the deck side to side, front should be a little lower than back (about 1/4 inch). check tires for correct air pressure. Make sure blades are balanced.

Hit a rock and shut mower off now every time I engage the blades it shits the mower down

look for a fock stuck between the mover and blades under the mower. pull the plug off before trying this. turning the blade to release something can start the mower with your hands in there.

Remove the deck and check the blades and spindles. I suspect your issue is electrical and not mechanical though.

Unless the blade is belt-driven, like on riding mowers, then the blade is attached directly to the engine crankshaft. Hitting a rock with a mower like this is a very common problem. You probably have a bent crankshaft. In most cases this can be repaired, but may not be worth it, considering the age of the mower. But you should call a local small engine/mower repair shop to ask for an estimate. The repair is not something you would be able to do yourself.

Just enough to guide the blade in place so the screw can be tightened to secure the blade. BUT - you might have sheared the flywheel key that times the flywheel and ignition system.

The engine stalls

you may have trash in the gas tank. empty it nad wash it out real good make sure the gas you use is fresh the vibration could be the blade ; or it could be that when the rock was hit it bent the shaft and that would cause vibration also. remove the spark plug and rotate the blade with your hand, you should be able to tell ifi the shaft is bent or not if not try putting a new blade on

Mower hit a big rock and stoped running

If you hit something hard enough to partially shear the key on the blade adapter, you did shear the key on the flywheel, and it will need to be replaced for the engine to run properly.
