-   To relply to that post above, HDMI carries sound for the record thats how I have my 360 connected to my polaroid, well atleast until the sound went then I had to use components that way I could connect the audio portion to the reciever. So pretty much that is the only thing you can do with these tvs, besides using them as a paperweight for poster board, connect the audion portion of whatever your using to a reciever.

-   Less then two years after buying the TV, audio problems started with intermitten popping sound from speakers. Now the audio goes out all together, albeit intermittenly. Should I try to get it repaired through Polariod, or should we just replace the TV? I should have known the price was too good to be true.-   Guest

-   I have the same problem. Mine is out of warranty (of course) Called polaroid and was offered a factory-refurbished set with a 90-day warranty for $310 + s/h to send mine back.
There must be a better deal out there than this. Or a fix.-   tctrumanpe

-   I can't make the audio work w/ a receiver. It is so frustrating. I've tried every kind of audio cable to no avail.-   Guest
Are you using a set of sound wires in addition to the HDMI cable? - HDMI only carries the HD Video and no audio, so you still need either a digital or audio cable to pass the audio to the set.

No audio or intermittent audio is a common problem with a high
percentage of these Polaroid models. The service center I talked
to said not to bother bringing it for service, as it needs a $400
"control box" module.
