Question about 2002 Ford F150 Truck Ignition Coil Set of 8
Be specific & ask a question with details
That truck or any ford truck won't get good
mileage,they haven't in 50 years,their too heavy
The picture is of COP Ignition Coils
All of them fail after about 6 to 7 years & you will
get a Mil Lamp on & lots of codes, that are of no value,
for the most part. Just have to walk a new coil, sometimes
even with professional test equipment

Bad parts for ignition systems will cause poor mileage and performance. Their is one component that can cause you to get better mileage when it it faulty. That is the Oxygen sensor in the exhaust. Basically speaking.... it controls the amount of fuel the engine gets to maintain clean exhaust, if it fails in the rich position your mileage will go down, BUT, if it fails in the lean position your mileage will go up. Problem is... if your engine runs too lean it will damage the valve train.
