Question about Toro Garden

Wheel stuck on shaft

We have a punctured tyre on our Toro Workhorse mower. I'm trying to remove the wheel to take it to get the puncture fixed. I have removed the retaining bolt that locks the wheel to the drive shaft, but the wheel seems to be stuck on the shaft. Anyone know the safest way to free the wheel from the shaft? Thanks in advance, Keith

Thanks for all the suggestions, but it wasn't the gearbox, or a bent shaft. In fact it was the end of the axle that protudes through the wheel. The end had got burred enough to be bigger than the hole in the wheel. After removing it with a wooden hammer, some careful filing removed the burrs, and it now slides on and off easily.

SOURCE: Toro 6.5 self propelled Mower - Self Propell won't engage

see if the lever going to the gearbox is cracked or broken. there is a gear inside the box that has a pin going thru the shaft that may have broken but usually it is external. these mowers have a plastic lever to put the transmission lever in gear if the cable is overtightened they wont hold up.if it cracks it leaves practially no tension on the engagment system

Removing a 'stuck-on' road wheel

It's dark, it's raining and you have a puncture and you can't get that punctured wheel and tyre off the hub! When you try pulling on the wheel/tyre, the vehicle almost falls off the jack and that could be dangerous. Best thing to do is find a hard piece of wood, about one and half meters in length, turn the steering wheel fully until the front of the wheel and tyre are exposed and then strike the inside rim of the wheel firmly with the wood - you'll find the wheel becomes free. Straighten the wheels and place replacement wheel and tyre on the hub. Scottech.

Puncture in one of my front tyre how do l remove it

To remove wheel there is one center bolt in the middle of the wheel(13mm). The wheel is a split rim so on the inside of the wheel there is more 13mm nuts undo them and the wheel comes apart.(no need for tire levers)

I have a bebecar ip op and i want to know how to detach the rear wheel as it has a puncture?

The rear wheel is held in place by a locking clip which is controlled by a lever. To remove the wheel, simply press the lever rearwards, and pull the wheel away from the housing. Remove the tyre carefully, using appropriate tyre levers, in order to repair the puncture in the inner-tube, or to replace it.

Back wheels keep deflating

hi, the chances are you have a puncture os something sharp sticking into the inner tube inside the tyre, what you need to do is buy a puncture repair kit then using the repair kit you take the tyre off the wheel then take the inner tube out.
now blow the inner tube up and place it in bowl of water and you should see bubbles coming off the inner tube, mark this with pen when dry so you know where the whole is, now use the puncture kit and place a patch over the whole, you can buy glue type patches or stick on patches without glue, you peel the back off the patch and put glue on or stick it over the whole if its a stick on patch and not glue.

then whilst this dry run your fingers around the inside of the tyre and check for any thorns or something sharp sticking in the tyre if you feel anything remove it and you should be ok, then when glue dry put the inner tube back in tyre and fit the tyre back on wheel now when you pump it up it shouldnt go back down unless you get another puncture.

if you are unsure what you are doing then taking your stroller into any bike shop and ask them to repair the punctures for you and they will do this for you whilst you wait.

My quinny rear tyre is flat tried to inflate the tyre but still does not work what should i look out for

you have a few choices
but if you want a long term fix you are better off getting a new inner tube as once a puncture occurs with the quinny wheels they will carry on doing it but theey are cheap enough to replace via ebay for about £6

if you dont want to replace you will need to remove the rubber wheel from the hub as you would a bike tyre then remove the inner tube
pump the tyre up put in water so you can find the hole then fix with a puncture repair kit

if you want to carry on using you can fill the tyres with tyre weld as you would a car they dont puncture and makes the quinny a smother ride

and if all else fails you can buy a used or new pair of wheels from ebay between £15 and £30
hope this helps x

Tyre puncture

if it is an alloy wheel ,it may be stuck around the hub where the wheel is placed.sometime there is rust around the hub thus preventing the wheel from coming out.So you have to slightly kick the wheel tyre from behind hardly and it will come out and if necessary a bit hard. Thanks
