I am not sure what is the reason. but you should check how your sim card is mounted. also make sure your network provider has good signal strength in the area you are.

  • Only a few companies have lockable phones--T-Mobile, AT&T and Cingular. Mobile companies lock down phones to keep their customers from using their phones if they switch to other services. This keeps you from using the BlackBerry that you bought at Cingular with the T-Mobile network if you switch. Phones are normally only unlocked at the mobile company's store, but it is perfectly legal to unlock your own. The only exception to this is if your phone contract specifically states that you are not to alter or modify your phone, and that the phone is the property of the provider, not you.
Unlock Your Samsung Phone
  • According to, go to the Nokia Free Unlock Codes Calculator and download the program (see link in References). Install and run the Calculator. Find the manufacturer and model for your Samsung cell phone, then enter your IMEI (International Mobile Equipment) number. Find the IMEI number for your phone by dialing *#06#. Choose your country and cell phone provider and enter your number. A list of codes will appear. Try them until you find one that works for you.

Blackberry Curve keep showing SOS network

It means your phone is not receiving signal from the network. First turn off your phone, remove the battery and insert in back in, then you turn on the phone. If it still does not receive signal, then you go to the phones menu, scroll to settings, then you select the network settings, after that select the manual network search, then a list will be searched out, select the network operating network of your Sim. If it still does not see the network, then it means there is an internal problem.
Hope this information helped.

Your phone is gsm and there is no gsm/cdma option that you will need to switch. Losing signal has to do with tower issue or an internal antenna issue. That phone is built with aluminum and it does have issue with signal.
