SOURCE: pool rover JR running slow

This has happened to me several times. Hair can get caught on the impeller. This causes the flap inside the jet to not close completely. Unplug the unit, remove two screws off the jet exhaust and gently remove the hair.

SOURCE: cord keeps binding rover not reaching far pool

This happens to me when I don't take care of the cord according to the instructions. By it's very nature the Rover likes to twist its cord. Are you certain you are removing all the twists in the cord before you start cleaning? Also, are you swapping the pin on the moveable axle every time you clean? Swapping this pin changes the direction from clockwise to counterclockwise (and vice versa) and keeps the cord in reasonably good condition.

SOURCE: How deep does the water have to be for the pool rover jr.?

If this is the type of cleaner that runs with a long hose connected and has one end stuck in the skimmer, the pool will need to be completely filled to normal level. The pool is filled with crud right? Use a long extension pole with a leaf net on the end to get out all the stuff you can. There is no way around the hard work. Don't be surprised if you need to use quite a few bags of powdered chlorine or jugs of liquid chlorine to clear the water up. Don't give up, it's gonna be hot this summer.

Pool rover junior won't back up

Try this: Take the Rover out of the pool and lay it down, wheels down. With your garden hose, shoot a strong jet of water into the impeller opening, alternating sides, 3-4 times each side. There's probably some material stuck in there.

Rover only goes one way

I had this same problem. I took the Rover out of the pool, removed the filter, turned it right-side-up and shot a strong blast of hose water into the outlets where the water exits to propel the Rover. Do both sides over & over a few times. That should do it.
