- i dropped my sidekick lx in water about 3 months ago, and i put it in rice and it worked fine, but a few days ago i dropped it and the screen went black, i can tell it is a screen issue because the keyboard lights up, and i can hear everything. i dont know what i need to do to get my phone back, i am only 13 and i need a phone by next week because i am going to to greece to visit family, and i need a quick solution. i cant buy a new one, because i have to pay for it myself, so i dont know what to do.. please let me know if you have any suggustions. - emily55555Mar 29, 2009

So your the cable for your LCD probably came loose on the inside. A white screen means you lcd is getting power but not a signal.
YOu will need special screw drivers to get in there to take a look, They are callled Torx.

Your cable for the LCD is proabably loose. You can disassemble and reseated the cable to see if it helps. The following guide is for a sidekick 3 but the sidekick 2 procedure is exactly the same.
Sidekick LCD Screen Only Replacement It that fails you can get a new lcd flip assy for about 35 dollars on ebay.
Here is a guide to fix it.
