How do I scan from the HP Deskjet f380 ?to xp windows ?

I am trying to scan from this printer / scaner and I cant get the pc to recognise the scan function.

It may be that you just downloaed the priter side driver only, you need the all in one driver for it to use the scaner.

Not getting pc to scan

ok...window vista as long as i am remeber got window photo gallery inside....you can scan you document use this window photo gallery.....or other choice you can use software utilities from HP.(the software came together with printer) if still cannot...you can download latest HP F380 printer driver from hp website......

could be the software together with printer just only for win XP...

HP Deskjet F380 All-in-One Compatible with vista

I had the same problem. I could print, but not scan.

However, if you open up Paint and go to file and scan, it will scan your document. For some reason, using the scan button on the printer itself will not work with Vista, but using Paint will. I also heard that using Windows fax and scan will also work.
