Can not transfer my camera pics to the dcim-100 media folder

This is a first for me in that the pictures I take on my aiptek dv 4500 camera can not be pot into the dcim folder so I can drag them into my picture file.I plug the usb cable into the camera and a window pops up that says please insert disc into drive g. I can not figure out what is going on. I do not know if I accidentally hit some wrong item somewhere along the line. Please give me some advice on what may be causing my problem. Thanks Bill.
