Question about Wanlida Group LTD-1510 15 in. TV/DVD Combo
Hooked up computer to monitor, switched to "PC" mode and post screen shows along with windows xp logo screen. However, it doesnt enter windows main screen, instead monitor reports on screen "out of range". What does this mean? I tried computer on another larger flat screen tv and it works, along with 2 other computers which it seemed to work with. Could it be because VGA card is somewhat weak. Computer model is HP Pavilion 7940. I am also using 6ft high density vga cable. Does it need a driver or something? Ed
The TV you are hooking it to is not able to show the resolution you have the computer set to. Start by setting your computer resolution to 800 x 600. If that works than try 1024 x 768. If you go too high you will get that "out of range" message. The instruction book that came with your TV has a listing of the available resolutions the TV will show.

You were right, However resolution wasnt the problem. Set refresh on winXP to lowest setting ,60 hertz. It was previously set to 85 hertz. Now it works at any resolution. I thought that flat panels dont require refresh rates at all. Thanks.
