Perform a factory reset. With a pen hold in the reset button next t the power jack whilst you plug the power back in. Wait for 10 seconds, that should get you back to a factory setting, log back in 192.168.1.1, User: (blank) Password: admin

Connection problem

you need to connect the wirless router directly to the internet line and configure it. note that some isp do not support such devices being used as a modem. after connecting the main line to the router open a browser and enter 192.168.1.1 as the address. enter admin as the username and the password. if it does not work ask your isp for the unsername and password.
configuration will have to be done including assinging and ip address to the router. A technician for your isp (internet service provider) should be able to help you in the configuration or a technician.........will love to but i do not reside in your country and do not know much about your place. with all that said Remember that without the configuration process it will not connect as you said.
Let me know of the outcome.
good luck

Cant setup or connect to internet through router

Different ISPs require different configurations. If you have a Linksys router, such as the WRT54G, there are 2 ways on how you can configure it, either by running the Setup CD or by doing manual configuration. This particular router has its own web utility and you can access it by typing its IP addres on your web browser, ex. http://192.168.1.1. By default, it doesn’t have any username and its password is admin.

Once you’re inside the setup page, you can configure now the router for DHCP, PPPoE or STATIC IP settings. For DSL customers using a PPPoE account, some modem needs to be configured into BRIDGE MODE first and then the router will be set to PPPoE with the correct username and password (given by ISP). If your a DHCP account, modem doesn’t require any configuration. It will work with its default setting and the router would be set to DHCP. Once done, powercycle your devices to establish internet connection.

Trying to install Linksys wrt54gx2 srx200 on my vista computer

who is your broadband provider? Is this cable or DSL connection? Setting up the router is done via http://192.168.1.1. Leave username blank, password is admin. If you have Cable ISP, then make sure you have "Automatic Configuration-DHCP" selected and MAC address Clone is enabled on Setup > MAC address Clone (click Clone, and Apply). If it's a DSL connection and your broadband provider gave you a username and password, select "PPPoE" for Internet Connecton Type, and enter in your DSL username and password. Next verify if your modem is communicating with the router by going to the Status page and by verifying that you have an Internet IP address. If none, wait for a few minutes and power cycle your modem and router.

I dont know haow to connect Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router with SpeedBooster WRT54GS - wireless router

  1. Connect your modem to the Internet port of the router. Your computer needs to be connected to one of the 4 Ethernet ports at the back of the router.
  2. Access the router's setup page by launching Internet explorer and typing 192.168.1.1.
  3. It will ask for a username and password. Leave the username blank and password is admin.
  4. Once your in the setup page, set "Internet connection type" with what your ISP requires you to have.
  5. If you have cable ISP, usually it is "Automatic Configuration-DHCP."
  6. But if you have DSL ISP, then it will be PPPoE. You need to know your username and password from your ISP.
  7. Better yet, verify your Internet connection type from your Internet service provider.
Hope this helps!

Linksys wireless-g broadband router

1. On your computer, open IE and type 192.168.1.1.
2. By default there is no username and the password is admin.
3. Once you're in, set Internet connection type to what your ISP requires to have. If you have cable ISP usually it is just set to Automatic configuration-DHCP. If you have DSL ISP, it usually uses PPPoE.
4. But verify it with your ISP.
5. Whatever changes you do on that page, do not forget to click "Save Settings" which can be found at the bottom of the page.

Linksys router not performing

has it worked before? if yes, try to power cycle everything. turn off everyhting then turn on the modem first, then the router, then the computer/s.
if you have power cycled everything already and you still can't access the internet using the router,
- access the router's setup page by logging to http://192.168.1.1 (leave the username blank and the default password is "admin")
- if you're using a cable connection, set the connection type to "automatic configuration - dhcp" and enable the mac address clone
- if you're using a dsl connection and you have a username and password from your isp, set the connection type to "pppoe" then enter the complete username (ex. [email protected]) and password given by your isp.
- check the "status" tab of the router and see if there's an internet ip and dns, if so, you should be able to connect to the internet

hope this'll help you.

ciao!
