Question about Pioneer SD-P50A3-K TV

I don't know what is going on...?

Sometimes the tv will turn off by itself. There is a button to turn all the power off to the tv-it stays lit up red(it is green when the tv is on and working). We usually solve this problem by turning off all the power to the tv, and unplugging it from the wall outlet. It has worked almost everytime. What could be causing this?

Don't attempt unless you are properly experienced to do so.
Had the same prob.
The soldering on transistors on the big heat-sink get bad... re-solder.
Also I had problem with transistor Q212, p/n 2SD1276A. Set would not power on. I replaced it and all is good.

I have a pioneer Pro 200 and have had it for a dozen years. I have an HD in my office and the picture is so good and bright on the Pioneer I just cannot bring myself to get rid of it. The TV blinks off...

Im going to guess that if you try turning it on, sometimes you hear a "click" and nothing then the problem persists over and over until it finally turns on? If so, it's a problem with the power that "jumpstarts" the screen. Worn out capacitors on older models don't hold the necessary charge it takes to "start" the inverter that powers the screen. Once those start to go, it's usually bye bye for the tv. That is IF this is your problem. Let me know. Sometimes it makes hissing or cracking noises along with it. hope this helps!

Infocus tv will not turn on power channel volume and menu buttons are lit up blue and stay on

First thing to do is unplug set for a while and plug back to see if issue cures with a reboot.

General info:

1. IF sound main fuse/s are good.
2. If no power or standby check main fuse, standby power supply and any signsof damage you can see---burnt parts etc.
3. almost all these sets the troubleshooting involves checking voltages on the main power board to narrow down theproblem.
4. Be safe and if you do not know what you are doing don't open the set.

Answers to issues:

1. RE:fuses---if a blown fuse is found get a good replacement(not the genericones like Radio Shack). Many fuses are special even aside from amperage--Don'tput a higher rated amperage fuse in the set for any reason.

2. RE: power supply in set: if total dead aside from main fuse the set uses astandby power supply that runs 7/24 and a main supply (some are combined andsome not.

Here aside from checking fuses you want to examine all the filter caps on thepower/standby to see if any are puffed up or buldged up in some fashion--Iattach a photo of a good one---top should be silver metal and PERFECTLY flatand have no brown material coming out on top or bottom.

What happens in the standby area is they use caps with too low a voltage rating(saves money) which causes them to fail in a year or two---the standby runs7/24 and the heat dries out the caps and they fail.

3. Trouble shooting consists of the above and then at some point you have to buyand try a board to see if it fixes it or not.

4. Safety first--no TV set is worth getting injured or even killed over.If set is opened at least look for puffed up and bad caps like in thisphoto.

We have a red light flashing on the front of the tv.It shut off and we don't know how to turn it back on.

A red flahing light is sometimes a Standby Mode. Does the power button on the remote turn it on.Sometimes the remote has multi funtions and you need to select TV for it to work.Try using the Power Button on the TV.Good Luck.

My Sony KDS-60A2000 is 41/2 years old. About 2 weeks ago I could not get the tv to power up. the green stand by light just kept blinking. I powered off, then powered up again and the tv started and and...

TV needs lamp replacement as existing lamp got weak or has been reached to end of its working life, please note that lamp is not dead or broken so that is why lamp lit is not lit at tv front.
Hope these info will help you.

Zenith dlp projection t.v. model#z52sz80 t.v. turns off randomly

This solution is for the zenith 56" DLP. Unplug the tv, either from the wall socket or the TV. While the TV is unplugged hold the power button on the TV for 40 seconds. This lets the excessive power drain from the TV. If this does not work call 1-800-243-0000. This is the number for their help line. This is the fix the tech gave me and it worked right away. Hope this helps and have a great day.

We lost the codes for our Universal Remote Control. The battery compartment has the letters/numbers: RCR450C 3701P

What kind of remote is it? if it is rca you can push the device your going to program it to such as the tv then hold the power button until it stays lit oh, by the way the tv should be on while you do this, now that the power button is lit keep pushing it until the tv turns off as soon as it turns off you push the stop button on the remote like you were going to stop a dvd.Now press power again and your tv should turn on,repeat these steps for all your other devices and your done with no codes, hope you have an rca remote and if you dont maybe they have this no code feature in other brands, good luck
