You will need the codes that came with the general remote to match the Hyundai. Hyundai air conditioners may run the same codes as LG, Sharp , Daewoo so try the codes for those as well if you don't have luck with the Hyundai code

SOURCE: air conditioner remote

- check if the battery is still good
- check if the receiver of the unit is clean and no obstruction.
- Some of remote control have a reset switch, every time you change it with battery you have to reset it.
- Some of remote control have A and B selector at board and remote control, check this if they set at the same frequency.
- To check if the remote control still working you have to test your remote control to other unit with same model as yours. If its not working then replace your remote control. But if its working then you have to replace your receiver board.
- Some remote control have to be reconfigure so you have to read your manual.

Second try....
Any unit can be recharged, however, its not cost effective to repair most window units unless they are under warranty.

How do I program a universal remote to my haier air condioner I lost my original remote

Most universal remotes won't have a code for an air conditioner. You'll need one that is made to work with A/C systems. See: http://www.amazon.com/HQRP-HWR08XC7-T-HWR10XC5-T-HWR10XC6-T-Conditioner/dp/B00VQ1NEUU or http://www.electronicadventure.us/Merchant2/merchant.mv?screen=prod&store_code=EA&product_code=AC-5620-30 for remotes that will work with the HWR10XC6 and some other Haier air conditioners.

I hope this helps. Please add a comment with the model and manufacturer of the universal remote you have. I'll try to confirm the available codes and how to program the unit.

How do i sync a fujitsu ar-dl2 air conditioning remote with air conditioning unit

Here is a link to current units: http://www.fujitsugeneral.com/PDF_06/OperationManual/(OM)ASU24CL-30CLX-36CLX.pdf
there is no indication that synching is required for OEM remotes, just chack and make sure the batteries are good. If it is a universal type remote, the remote manufacturer provides those instructions.

Need new remote

Most "generic" remotes can be programmed to work on most brands. Have a look at the back of the packet the remote comes in, it will show which makes / models the remote can be programmed to. In a lot of cases, the generic remote is a lot cheaper than a genuine one however some functions may not be accessible. IE/ Sleep or timer function. Dick Smith electronics or a general electronics store may have them or an air conditioner parts outlet will have them such as Heatcraft, Airfridge, Airspares etc (In Australia)

The buttons on my air conditioner quit working. It will still turn on and off. It is now set to fan. Will a universal remote work with it? I don't want to spend $75 on a remote(replacement remote) that...

I'm not sure there is a universal remote available for AC units. There may be, I just have not seen one. However, you can still operate the unit without the remote, if you do the following. I'm assuming you have changed the batteries in the remote and they were installed properly (i.e. Facing the right direction) and it still doesn't work or you lost the remote.

Turn the unit OFF and unplug it for 15 minutes. Once the time has elapsed, plug the unit back in and turn the ON/OFF switch to ON. The unit should have reverted back to the original factory setup settings. Which should now allow you to operate the unit without the remote, because the controls on the unit should now be activated.

I hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

GE AIR 600BTU WINDOW CONDITIONER AQV06LAM2 COMPRESSOR DOES NOT KICK ON AT ALL FAN WORKS AS IT SHOULD

The stat. could be bad, without a meter hard to trouble shoot, if the comp. is getting power and not working the start components could be bad. If I had only one meter it would be a amp clamp. And I hope that your unit is 6000 btu's or its very tiny :)
