Question about Computers & Internet
My Kingston Data Traveler 32GB DT101 G2 activity LED isn't flashing. Drive otherwise works normally. I copied all the 18GB of data from my previous identical drive with no other problems, and can still use it normally otherwise. How can I get that LED turned back on?

Try going into Control Panel/Admin tools/Computer Management then Disk Management. You will see a display of all drives connected. Right click the flash drive the Delete Partition, Now right click again and format. Hope it works Cheers from Scott

if there is a switch on the side that changes colour from white to red that is the write protect, you may also have reached the capacity of writes to the card and this is also why it is saying write protected as it cant write to it anymore. These flash drives do have a high amount of writes for its life, but if you have been using it as a memory booster for vista or win 7 then those read and writes will soon mount up.
