SOURCE: my islandaire ptac keeps tripping the breaker what should i look at?

If it were me I would use an amp meter and take an amp reading of the compressor when it is fully loaded. then I would refer to my name plat. which should be located on unit or if you can read label on compressor that is even better. FLA is fully loaded amps. RLA is running load amps, and LRA is locked rotor amps. if your amp readings is close to LRA or higher than FLA then I would recommend changing your compressor, The last thing you want is a compressor burn out.

On what lead of the run capacitor does the white wire from the motor connect to? C, Fan or Herm. The model number of my PTAC is PTH153B35AM. I thank you for any help that I can get.

White is usually a color associated with the neutral wire of your incoming power line. If the motor and compressor are switched via the hot (usually black) wire, then the white would connect to the common wire on the capacitor. Be careful to check first, as plugging the neutral wire to the wrong place could destroy the unit and try to start a fire.

Why is my Islandaire ptac unit not heating

Could be that the t-stat is simply wired incorrectly. It needs to operate the reversing valve. The manual will explain when the reversing valve is to be engaged ( either in "cooling mode" or "heating mode"). Or it can be a more complex issue, such as reversing valve failure.

How do I hook up remote thermostat to LG LP120CED?

Some thermostats have a five minuter time delay to protect the A/C when power fails. Some units also have a time delay, if so both must be satisfied before it will start.

Amana PTAC cannot be turned on.

sound like a thermister problem, however this may also be a circuit board problem, the system is controled by the outdoor board, check to see if you have a blown inline fuse in the outdoor unit, it will be under a red case in one of the wires.
