H20 is showing on the display screen of my hotpoint washing machine. I'm aware this means water but I'm wondering why this is displayed?

Possible that there is no INLET pressure or water flow to the machine, check the inlet filter and valve, check for good flow to the valve if the hose is disconnected. If not it needs to be checked if the panel board is showing error due to memory fault..

Hello,

This means the control board has a short. You would need to replace the board to fix the issue. Simply remove the screws on the side and underside of the panel the control panel will rotate down and out. There are four small screws that mount the control to the panel. I know this oven well. The clock is the issue..

It means your PC video resolution setting is too high for this monitor to display.
You need to set the resolution to 1024 x 768 @60Hz. Bootup in safe mode (hit f8 during bootup) select VGA support, rest the resolution to 1024 x 768 @60Hz, reboot.

There are two red vertical lines which are close together that just showed up on our television screen. What does this mean?

It means there's been a failure of some of the electronics built into the display panel. Unfortunately, there's no way to repair this short of replacing the display. If this set is out of warranty, you'd be stuck paying for a new display. It might cost less to look for a sale price on a new set.

My bosch dish washer won't work. A number 1 is displayed on the electronic panel. what does this mean Paul

Helloduranjp,
Welcome to fixya.

You said, Your Bosch dish washer won't work. A number 1 is displayed on the electronic panel.

If it is displaying"01" then that means the extra dry setting is being applied!
Did you try to use the extra Dry setting?
Did the dishwasher work before this or is it brand new?
What is the model number and year?
Let me know ! I'm waiting for your response

Below is and example of the usage of 01 or 00 in a Bosch Dishwasher!

Extra Dry Heat
With this option you can raise the temperature of the rinse water and increase the drying
time which will result in improved drying.
To activate :
Press and hold the left cancel drain button ,
Then press and hold the on/off button when the LED display shows a, "00" or a "01"
To enable the additional drying heat, press the left cancel drain button until the LED display shows a "01"
To disable the additional drying heat, press the left cancel drain button until the LED display shows a "00"
press the on/off button to save the settings.

Control Panel display no information.

Do you mean the control panel on top or the big LCD on the back?

The display on top should be showing you stuff like the shutter speed and aperture as you take the picture.

The display on the back will not show you the picture while you're taking it. The D80 does not have a Live View capability.
