Remember that changing your credit card number is the same as getting a new credit card account. This does not alter your credit history. This will not raise your credit score. This will not relieve you of your debts. Your old account stays open until it is paid.
The ONLY way to change your credit card number is to get a new credit card account.
IF you wish to use the same finance company, you ask them to close the account first and start a new account.
It would be easier to apply for a different card (If you have a VISA with Chase, you could apply for a VISA with Capitol One or a MasterCard with CitiBank or even a MasterCard with Sears.)
Once you are approved for a new card (and it arrives) THEN close the account with your old card. You close the old account by paying the debt and then requesting the account to be closed.

Call your credit card company and tell them to issue you a new Credit Card with a new number. The 800 number should be on the back of your Credit Card. Hope this helps.

To enter new credit card and delete old. Go to my account and click profile and choose add edit credit card. Fill in all the necessary info.like type of card,number,expiration date and last 3 digits at the back. Don't forget also to fill in the billing address. To remove credit card, just choose the credit number and select remove to delete the card from the list.

If it was issued from a local bank, you may have to physically appear with adequate ID at the counter to request a change or they may direct you to contact the issuing company directly but somewhere along the line, you will have to be able to prove who you are or else retire the card completely and reapply.
I know too many people who should forget theirs . . .
