can you turn the brush by hand? if it turns real freely the belt is broke or the brush siezed up make sure there isn't any carpet strans wrapped around the ends of the brush otherwise the brush won't turn.if its the belt make sure you clean the motor shaft before you put on the new belt, the old rubber from the old belt will make the new belt run unevevly and break again..good luck
I don't believe the Dyson has a reset button. if the brush doesn't turn when the handle is down then you may have a broken belt. there are 2 belts on the vacuum, the one from motor to clutch can be replaced from under the vac. the belt from brush roll to clutch is not available and must be replaced as a clutch ***'y. Not familiar with thi sbrand, but a reset is for when the brushes get jammed pr stalled, it will trip the reset. Make sure that the brsuh roll turns easily, also for a broken belt and/or bad brush roll. Some resets are for when the vac motor over heats, it will trip saving the motor. Usually this is for a jammed brush roll or a clog.
