SOURCE: file system err on spi digital audio player

Click menu and scroll to the setup screen and hit reset.
then go back to the music it will say file error then use the right button to browse to next song and you will see your songs. If however in the music you don't see any songs (number 1of 64 or whatever) then you have to reload your songs.

Next, if that does not work. Go to setup select format complete, (note this will reformat the player) then go to your computer (in explorer) and copy the music right to the music folder (only songs don't copy folders into the music folder on the device.)

then go back to setup, select reset and go back to music menu. You may still have a file error just hit the next button and there are your songs.

Yes, you have chance. Sam has explained in details about the precautions. Also FileRetrieveal is also a free option (able to retrieve music, audio, video, photo files and more.) Best regards and good luck.

You may try asoftech data recovery which helped me before. You can download trial for free
http://www.asoftech.com/adr/

Please be noted that your voice recorder should show as a drive letter in your computer, if not, you need to take out your memory card and connect using a card reader, or plug-in to card reader slot if there's any on your computer.

Delete movie files

When you first connect your MP3 to your computer with a USB cable, the computer runs "autoplay" which brings up a screen displaying a link to access the files on your MP3. (If not, you can access this by finding the "Sony Walkman" link under "My Computer"). You need to double click on the link to the Walkman on your computer screen, which brings you to another screen with several folders. NEVER touch any delete any folders from this menu, as it will stop your MP3 functioning. You should only ever enter the "Video" and "Music" folders from this menu. Double-click on the "Video" folder, and there are all of the videos on your device listed. You can now delete them like any normal file on your computer (delete key) but this will not send them to your Recycle Bin - it will delete them permanently so if you might want the files in the furture, I suggest that you back them up by "copy/pasting" them to another location on your computer. Hope that helps you!
