I have a chipped WII and when I plug in the game the power light lights red , if I press either the power or the eject button the power button lights green and the blue light around the disc light up momentarilly and then the whole unit powers off. I have a game in the drive now I think its Boogie. Any help is welcome, I am in Denver Co.I have tried to let it set for a while and retried, that did not work. I also tried to plug in and press eject at the same time to try and remove the disc and that did not work either.

- Problem solved removed chip and sent back to Nintendo, They said it was a faulty motherboard. Not shorted. They did a full replacement. Yeah Nintendo......Thanks for all suggestions
Depending on the chip and who installed it, it is probably shorting out something in your system. Even if the system was working before, it might have shifted or come loose. If it is only shorting your power switch then it would just be a simple adjustment of the chip. However, the chip could have shorted out your main board and when the system powers on, it detects the short and shuts itself off as a fail-safe. Removing the chip *might* fix it if it didn't totally fry the system.
