Question about Watches

5 Answers

Have you got a jewel or jewellery and can you recommend it? Where did you purchase it? I'm contemplating a moissanite wedding band for several reasons. The cost is realistic, the rock appears to be amazing (have just seen online), and I am not loving of perpetuating the stone thought and purchasing a method which is clearly morally corrupt (child labor, blood diamonds etc). Have you got a moissanite wedding band or additional jewelry and how can you experience this?

Hi, I got your question. You want to know a jewellery site. There are so many online stores available in the market and also you can search on the internet to know more about them. After that, You can buy which is good for you. Also, you can make as per your choice. I know about drfinejewels.com from which I bought some amber stones last month and use these for making a ring, which I like most.

Band too large . How do I shorten an expansion band that does not have pins? It is the Timex Easy Reader

You din't. Take it to a jeweler and have them do it for you. If you've never removed links for an expansion band you'll destroy it in the process.

WE NEED A NEW WATCH BAND FOR OUR F187GWBS NOT SURE WERE TO BUY ONE. WARRANTY COMPANY OUT OF BUSSINESS

If you are talking about the Field & Stream F187GWBS men's wristwatch, you can purchase replacement generic watch bands at a variety of locations. This watch takes a 22mm width band, and you can replace the original stainless steel band with a leather band for comfort or find a different brand of stainless bands.
If you prefer not to replace your own band, you still don't need a full-service, premium-priced jewelry store. Their replacement watch bands are also often twice as expensive as ones you can find at a discount store or in a shopping mall watch kiosk. Many watch kiosks offer free or low-cost band replacement if you purchase a band from them.

I purchased a wedding ring and band and it is discolored supposed to be gold but it fading and I am trying to get a form of some sort I have a smart protection plan what do I do now it was purchased like...

Thanks for contacting FIxYa.
Is it a white gold wedding band?? You dont mention what color it is. If it is yellow gold turning white, then its not solid gold. If its white gold turning yellowish, then it needs to be re-rhodium plated which most jewelry protection plans will cover. You need to go back to store where purchased to find out.
Best regards. Jewel

I need a new watch band.

Both metal and leather straps are available over the internet. I, however, recommend going to a jeweler that both sells and installs watch bracelets and straps. This will ensure a proper fit and you will have the opportunity to actually see the styles on your watch before purchase.
Generally, independant jewelers are the place to go for this as chains are too scared of messing up your watch to even change your battery.

Casio G-Shock GW-300 replacement bands

I have a Casio g-shock gw-330a and now find myself again replacing the band. So far, $60 on bands. They last me two or three years. To install the band, take the band and watch to a Jeweler. My local Sears does it for me. $5 for installation; $5 for purchase shipping; $20 for band. $30 every couple of years.
This cost disturbs me.

Casio SPF70 Spring Pins

The best way is to take a look on ebay. The only downside is: you have to buy a whole lot (I mean - you can not buy just a two or three springpins). Go to ebay, choose jewellery and watches and then watch parts and tools or accesories.
The other way is to try to find on internet jewellery and watch part supplyers in your coutry and contact them. They usually selling springpins in packs of 10.
Before you buy any of them, you need to measure the distance between watch case lugs in milimeters. The size between lugs is the exact size for the springpins to order.
If you are not happy with that, then you have to try to continue to visit more jewellers till you find the right ones.

Don't forget to rate, please.

Phillipe Stark PH1079 watch - Can't get back off to replace bat

There is nothing wrong with your watch. The problem is in tools the jewellers are using for opening the watch.
Despite being under one roof, watchmaking and jewellery are completely different trades and are miles apart. Jewellers usually are equipped with very basic watch repair tools and the case openers are no exeption.
You have to find your nearest watch repair shop and ask for watchmaker, not jeweller. Any decent watchmaker will have the right tool to open your watch and replace the battery in a matter of minutes.

Mens bueche girod 9k gold watch the gold band is 1 inch short

You have two options and for both you need to find yewellery repair shop.
Option1) Some jewellers sell NOS (New Old Stock) gold watch bands. If your vallet is thick enough for this option- shop around and buy one.
Same jewellery repair shop will be able replace the old band with the new one, even if the band is soldered to watch case.
Option2) In the same shop ask if they can built up (lengthen) the clasp. In this case you will spend less money, but you will loose on looks.
Note: As mostly all gold watch bands are maschine made, it is allmost impossible to repair or lengthen them in a good looking way. Anyway- consult the jeweller first and see what he says. He may have some NOS witch is exactly matching your old watch band pattern.
Good luck.
