Can I regulate the temp on our machine? our Rancilio machine seems to be to be running on too high a temperature. Meaning, we barely turn the steam wand on to steam milk (after the light goes off), an

Silvia has two bimetalic switches that control the boiler temperature. One for brew water and one for steam. They are not exact and they can go bad. They are cheap and easy to replace. Just Google for Rancilio parts.

A much better fix (and more expensive) is to switch to PID control. Google for Rancilio PID control. The conversion is $250+ but once you've gone PID, you'll never go back. The temperature is exact, fast, and totally under your control.

Freezer alarm goes off even though the freezer temperature is below -20C. The compressor runs continuously.

From the sound of it the temperature control is bad. I'm only stating this because if the cold control (temperature control) isn't converting the temperature to electrical signal properly, the machine will constantly run trying to reach the set temperature the cold control is set at. Question, is there a digital display showing the temperature or did you use a meter or thermometer to check it, and how is the temperature set, by a digital control or a dial, rheostat or any other type of manual control?

Hi, error 8 is showing you there is something wrong with temperature control pot. This is soldered to the pcb so you need to get someone to replace this or check the connections, otherwise the pcb needs replacing

Got a malfunction 4 on a franke flair ? Any ideas

Hi.I think its a temperature measuring fault in the steam circuit. Most likely to be the thermal sensor on the thermoblock. Check to see if the sensor wires are broken or corroded. Can also be the control board. I'll put my money on the thermal sensor. Dazza REPAIRER

"PROB" shows when fryer is

Computerboard will display "PROB" error when it could not sense resistance reading from the temperature probe sensor (temperature probe sensor is either open circuit or short circuited). Check first the temperature probe connectors, tighten loosely fitted connectors on wiring harness and computer board, then check if the wires are not damaged. Disconnect the temperature probe and check the resistance using an ohm meter. If the reading is either zero or infinite, you have to replace the temp probe.

Not enough steam

Hello 828698,

One thing that you will want to look for on your machine is to be sure that your temperature gauge is not malfunctioning. In some cases with the FF machines, the temp gauge will not work properly but the machine is still working just fine. When you start up the machine you should notice the the bottom light on the left hand side will come on and be lit solid. Once the machine is up to brew temperature the light will go off or begin to flash. This means you are ready for brew. Then hit the steam button to prepare the machine for steam. Again, the light will come on and be solid until the machine is up to steam temp. Then the light will go off or begin to flash. If this is happening than your machine is working fine and only needs to have the temp gauge replaced. If, however, you do not see this light go off it could be a couple of things. The control board could be malfunctioning, or the heating element is no longer maintaining the proper temperature. In this case it is generally recommended that the machine goes in for service. Or, you can contact Empire Fulfillment (877-855-4540) to order parts for the machine if you are comfortable doing the repair on your own.

Machine will turn on but that is it

The light 20 is power control light, 26 light if any problems are indicated on the machine and should only light if there are any trouble with the machine. 22 should light when the temperature is right.

Try to open the steam knob and make a cup of water.
