Need manual and installation instructions Windows 98SE

Retiring doctor gave me his old scanner. He did not have the manual nor installation instructions. Can anyone help?

This site has drivers for all versions of windows, and a manual. These are not the drivers made by the manufacturer - Acer does not support this scanner any longer and has no drivers for Windows Vista, XP, 2000 or NT. It also includes a manual that outlines how to use mirascan with this scanner, but does not seem to go into detail on how to set up the actual scanner. http://www.benq-eu.com/support/downloads/downloads.cfm?product=166&page=downloads&dtype=D Still, it should just be a matter of connecting it to your parallel port (the only port the cable should fit in on your computer), plugging in the power, and running the driver software. Once that's up, the manual can tell you how to use the software. Of course, I wasn't able to test this, because I don't have the scanner.

Windows 98se video drivers


not for 98SE i believe. a great OS but MS most likey deleted those from their servers long ago. if you can find someone else who has a system with 98SE you may be able to copy and install them from them. someone who is really old and smart "CE" maybe could program them:) for you but, you should have backed up your system and drivers before this repair was needed

My Visioneer P7300 Scanner seems incompatibile with WIN XP


Hi Bob,

It's quite possible. Does the scanner connect to the computer via a USB or parallel (old style printer) port?

If the answer is USB, then I believe you might find what you need HERE.

My only reservation is the "P" in the model name you gave. I didn't find any Visioneer scanners w/ a "P" in the model name. However, this one lists drivers going all the way back to Windows 98SE. So, this may very well be the ticket.

Take a look at the picture of the scanner you see at the link I gave you. If it looks right, go ahead and download the manual and take a look at that. If, after viewing the manual, you're convinced it is for your scanner, then go ahead and download the drivers for it and install them on your XP system.

As always, make sure you create a System Restore point b4 making changes to your system like installing or uninstalling software or drivers.
